You can individually tune each time point after you've set it. You double tap the blue dot on the time scale an it'll turn red. It's a bit of a pain in the arse but after a while you'll get the hang off it.

Nice fish selection 👌 . What are you doing to battle the tufts of hair algae?
@CJSAQUARIUMS19 күн бұрын
Just manual removal I haven’t had hands in the tank for weeks since starting auto water changes.. time for a trim it grows back less each time so it’s a waiting game
@robertward681318 күн бұрын
@@CJSAQUARIUMS Yeah the auto water changes will make a huge difference. I'm the same, just random tufts here and there. Was thinking of running bio pellets but my phosphates are 0.02 so really can't afford to strip them down, so looking for an alternative suggestion for nitrates

@CJSAQUARIUMS19 күн бұрын
Yea it went pale on me but didn’t strip. So just leaving everything as is for awhile. Tank is more stable now then before so hoping they bounce back. Gonna hold off on any additional acros for now but will revisit it in a month or so 🫡🤟🏾

Big ups on the stick list... I miss my yellow coris wrasse, it was definitely a workhorse; always in hunt mode. Watched it grow from a tiny juvenile all the way to a full size adult but unfortunately died by getting caught in the power head (which has been replaced) when it kicked into reverse when it was surfing in the flow

Hello there CJ, my name is Andy. I would just like to say that i have been watching your channel for quite a while. The background music, the level of your knowledge on the subject and the look of your tank is amazing. I suffer with mental health buddy and as such love to immerse myself in all things aquatic. Your tank is one of the healthiest i jave ever seen and as such i wish you all the best with your pursuits of all things marine. Thank you for making my life a little more enjoyable CJ. The tank looks great CJ with the mixture of the fish you have stocked. Dottybacks should be called Snottybacks! I’ve had my CBB now for 2yrs and the only thing he’ll eat is clams or the LRS reef chunky. At least he keeps the aiptssia at bay. 👏

You only calibrated your trident once? Just wondering how your numbers lined up with manual testing as a comparison? I typically calibrate every time I changed my reagent bottle. That was at least what I thought apex required.
@CJSAQUARIUMS25 күн бұрын
Yes normal trident only did it one time. Alk matched Hanna so I didn’t worry about the CA or MAG. Only time calibrated was one reagent switch my CA dropped a ton immediately. So calibrated and it went back to normal range. By all accounts my ALK on trident always been the consistent variable I could trust the most
@djmikefury125 күн бұрын
The reality of any autotester is 6 months out, not first day/week. They will drift and be harder to bring back to original state once you go over a year plus especially if the original Trident is any barometer (assuming it doesn’t break). Considering it’s borrowing the same parts as original Trident, kinda disappointed because it’ll have the same break points. Also, the forced tests every day for nutrients is a bummer as you’ll burn through reagent. Between the Trident and Trident NP, you’ll have to pay a minimum of $600 per year to use it. Lastly, probably wouldn’t recommend updating to latest software as a lot of people are seeing the Neptune DOS dump containers worth of whatever you’re dosing through them. You can easily crash your tank.
@CJSAQUARIUMS25 күн бұрын
I’ll have to see for myself.. my personal experience with the original trident been problem free (it’s over a year old) . I’m carrying that optimism to the trident Np. I’m running the latest Neptune fusion software. I’m not sure about others programming redundancies or rules but I use multiple LLS modules and the optical sensors included wit the AFK Ato to help safe guard any and all scenarios something could get stuck on. So again I’m not really too concerned with it unless all those failsafes somehow are bypassed? I need to see the proof these issues are not user error before I believe it. Just like people said the trident Np didn’t work with po4 and I show it spot on. I’ll take what I hear with a grain of salt.. pun intended. Side note I agree the reagent cost is really the only downside as a yearly expense. But this hobby has levels to it most people buying a trident won’t worry about the expense if we being honest. Those that are will stick with Hanna checkers ✊🏾🫡💯

Don’t you need to unscrew the caps a bit so no vacuum occurs?
@CJSAQUARIUMS25 күн бұрын
Never have before. I suspect the entry point for the tubbing on the lid allows for air to enter and prevent it from creating vacuum
