@@gaspdahl1 Depends on the people, not just youngsters. I'm 19, I own a W201 and I'm trying to put it back to its former glory and use it as a daily instead of trying to floor it like a maniac everywhere I can. Not all youngsters are dumb with cars, just like much older adults aren't all wise. It really depends on how people have been raised and what kind of car enthusiast they're hanging with. For my side, I mostly hang out with old timers. In terms of cars, I've always been more of a fan of retros and classics.

try 200hp 😂 617 mercedes makes 117hp with a top speed of 96. 606 series makes like 188hp with a top speed of 105 😂 if this is a pre 90’s 606

If I recall correctly the OM606 where fist delivers after 1995, fitted with an electronically controlled fuel pump, first Mercedes diesel engine with 4 valves per cylinder.

Ruined by a shit tuner that has no idea how to make power with diesel. Smoke out the exhaust means unburnt fuel. The fastest land speed cars are diesel, you'll never see them roaming coal because rolling coal is trash.

Time the fuel pump correctly, turn the fuel down or the air pressure up. So much smoke indicates the exhaust gas temperatures would be sky high and that is going to blow up the engine, it's highly cancerous for you too. Those engines can make tons of power with none to minimal smoke, the less smoke you see the more fuel turns into power, this is a highly inefficient build.

John I would say also that there is quite a bit something wrong with the setup or tuning all together. Original W123 300TD goes as quikly as this. That kettle should launch that coupé out of sight before you manage to say "cat" and way less of suffocating smut cloud.

They came with the 4 cylinder OM616 diesel. Not the 6 cylinder from the later generations
