I have done bus journeys (VERY long ones) in India, Nepal, China, Malaysia, Thailand & Vietnam & I can say with my hand on my heart that Indonseian bus drivers are INSANE!!!! I would need a whole heap of valium to even get me near a bus in Indonesia again!

Lived there for 3 months. Those bus drivers don't earn much. Plus, their private companies run on really tight schedules. Also, the infrastructures man. The roads there are terrible in many places, compared to developed countries' gigantic highways that have lanes after lanes made specifically for fast travels.

Here in India there Used to be bus race but now the Transport authority have made it compulsory to attach a speed control device where in the Omni Super deluxe can not cross More than 100 kmph... So compared to INDONESIA we are moving at the Pace of bullock cart speed.
