Boring Oregon needs to rename their town because it definitely isn’t boring with Iesli nursery there! Loving the videos from there and the beautiful trees you are highlighting! 💕👏👌👍💕

I’ve never seen a garden where the use of red, blue, green and yellow is displayed to perfection. Plus all the different textures makes this garden literally the most beautiful I have ever seen. Breathtaking❤

Hi Jim, I normally don't like sheared evergreens, but that Pinus strobus "Louie" is something else. Wow that is a gorgeous tree.

Yes it’s gorgeous. I wonder if it keeps its yellow coloration in part shade.

I hope you get home to a shipping container full of conifers from Iseli that you picked out while you were there! 😂 Thanks for giving us the inside look at this spectacular nursery. Will be rewatching all those several times, I’m sure!

That Golden Mop is stunning, I am now determined to have several of those in my garden. What a mesmerizing nursery, so well-planned and cared for.

One thing about Oregon is that plants grow exceptionally well there. Stuff that are trees there are bushes everywhere else.

Love these videos from Isley. Could you do a video on how to properly shear conifers for size control? With Mugo Pines, I heard that you should only prune the new candles in the spring and not to prune established growth on the Mugo Pines. Not sure if that is true, but I think there are probably things to be careful with on certain conifer varieties. Thanks!

Definitely a consideration with this type of plants. Some Juniper won't resprout if cut back to old wood for instance. This would be a great topic for discussion with people familiar with these plants, both in production and in the landscape.

Hey Jim, what is that beautifully structured tree behind the mugo shown at 4:25. That is a stunner. Thank you for sharing this amazing garden! I only wish it was open to the public but this is the next best thing.

I just did an adult education event with our Dawson county high school agriculture teacher Thursday night. I was teaching how to make cut greenery arrangements for the holidays and there was much discussion on the different colors and textures of evergreens. I recommended your channel to those attending as I find your channel to be super accessible to people no matter their gardening level. Beautiful specimens there Jim, thank you!

Thank you for doing these tours of this gorgeous garden. I live 47 minutes away and would like to visit. Their website says only garden club or the America Conifer Society or such organizations are permitted organized tours. They are too busy growing all these great plants to open to the public. I shall find a way. It is too close to not figure this out.

It is really stunning how much larger these trees get in the PNW. Picea orientalis Firefly puts on maybe 3 to 4 inches a year here in our patch of New England…. BTW I have not seen Cephalotaxus harringtonia Gold Splash anywhere…. Golden Dragon is a lot easier to find and also is low to the ground

Hi Jim, loved the conifers, especially the blues. Just wondering about the”Jantar” from Poland, I knew a gentleman whose name is Jan but it is pronounced like yawn. Also thanks for the clarification of Boring as a town. First video I thought it strange to call this town somewhat boring😅.

Could you do a pruning video on a gold mop? I’m a very experienced Gardner, but get very intimidated by pruning evergreens. I have a gold mop that is supposed to be maintainable at 5 to 6 feet. It needs to max out around that to fit my space. That would be so helpful. Now that I just typed that, maybe I should search your other videos because you may already have one lol.

The orange beauty what zone is that? We are looking for trees/ shrubs that have that look where is the foliage does not hit the ground. We are in zone 9b Northern California. So we have rattlesnakes that like hiding under foliage, so that kind of reverse cone would be great.
