I have used mercenaries that are hunting me to kill legendary creatures in the trials of artemis quest.

When flying around with Icoros if you roll your control button he will do a barrel roll. If you stand still and he lands on your arm press your assassinat button to feed him and show some love.

Staying undetected, You can shoot an arrow at a certain spot to lore / distract enemies to move to that spot that it hit. This also worked in origins.

Call for Phobos and run. He will run next to you and you will jump on without hitting the mount button. Works well when you need to run away from a bunch of enemies.

If you light a poison arrow on fire it explodes on impact. I'm not sure if this is common knowledge or not.

No one gonna talk about how a citizen at 3:36 kills him with a shovel?

to deal with the sharks; before you dive have your eagle hommie spot the sharks, and the just walk to the side of the ship where they are and pick them off with arrows. Don't forget to loot the sharks too. you can come across some pretty cool loot.

Another thing to add on is you can also destroy docked ships while on your boat. For instance, if you have a quest to destroy 15 spartan boats, you can sail over to a spartan territory with spartan ships docked and unleash your javelins and arrows for easy kills :P. This also works if you have to destroy merchant ships as well, you can destroy them when they are also docked.

Another tip, mainly in the Fate of Atlantis DLC in Elysium but also often in Greece, some targets are JUST too high level to insta assassinate, you can stay undetected though if you shoot them with your bow first and immediately assassinate them after. This also gives the most adrenaline, which is quite useful in the DLC because those statue dudes literally eat your adrenaline so you’re much better off having some more ready (and as a bonus, they won’t wake up because you stay undetected).

You have unlimited torches. You can throw the torch or drop them on the Enemy Supply crates. You can throw them at Snakes when your in the caves/tomb. You can also light a regular arrow on fire. If you draw your bow near a fire, the tip will catch on fire. Either use it on Soldiers or enemy crates. Also shooting over a fire or torch will set them on fire too.

I was coming up on a Cultist last night and wondering "wtf is he moving so fast?" so when i catch up to him, he was being attacked by Spartans. So by the time I got to him I just had to confirm the kill & was done.

You can defeat any enemy any level by getting up to any high temples, they cannot get there, and you use arrows and bows to shoot them from above

Actually, one thing is that if you're trying to hide a body at a fort, you can press the button you'd use for drawing your bow (like L2 for example). This allows you to throw the body over a wall, for example, out of sight.

You can use torches to draw enemies close to whistle them for assassination. You can use torches to light a single enemy on fire by throwing them since they dont detect from a bush. It takes about 6 hits to catch fire. You can throw a torch on the ground to light an arrow on fire. Torches are the best thing in the game. You can lure a bunch in a bush and light it with a torch to burn a group. The possibilities are endless. You can also chuck torches like a freaking mile.

You can lead the mercenaries who is going after you to fight the legendary beast for you

If you run toward some small objects (long desk, carts, rectangular rocks, stone barriers, etc.), hold couch (B on XB controller) before making contact, and you can vault over them. Sometimes it might not work if the angle is not right, but when it works it looks much better than just jump on it and jump down.

It's probably worth mentioning that most weapons have a 5 attack combo so each attack in the sequence has a different animation and does different things. For example my fav combo for a staff (the main weapon I use for groups of enemies) is LHHLH. Most important here is the finisher as a heavy attack, as this swings the staff a full 360 and basically 1-hit kills any enemy standing in a circle around you. Really good for conquest abttles for example.

Probably a pretty small feature in the grand scheme of things, but looting chests on a ship you sunk underwater is pretty cool. I'm sure I'm not the only one that thought you lost the chests once the ship goes under.

Believe it or not when I was playing the game for the first time early on I was actually hiding the bodies in the bushes. It was like it was instinctive because of all the previous games I've played. So I actually knew about hiding the bodies in the bushes but I honestly wasn't aware of the rest. It was very interesting and honestly I think I might be using the ship strat when I play through the game again.

1:50 get Ikaros to spot the chests before you dive in after them and equip Poseidon's Trident and it doesn't matter how deep the water is. also, if you cleave a mercenary ship or knock the mercenary overboard, you can jump in and loot their body in the water

1:30 you don't need to even touch the water to get on another boat if you RUSH assassination. Press the ability button when in range (yellow dot appearing on enemy)

you can also bring you boat near camps and, using the predator shot ability, you can target enemies who will not be able to detect you.

The ship boarding trick has been in the games since Black Flag, maybe even AC III when naval gameplay was introduced. I always used it to clear higher lever Man O' Wars and the legendary ships in Black Flag.

You can recruit bounty hunters if you knock them out instead of killing them.

I recently figured out that if you jump from a height and press the heavy attack button Alexios does this plunge smash type of attack just like in 300 rise of an Empire when the Athenian jumps off the cliff plunging his sword to an enemy on a ship

At first, i really enjoyed playing origins, but when i play odyssey, i feel the differences that make me like odyssey better, and then when I back to origins again, it feels so boring. Let me break it down: Combat: In origins, the combat is so boring, it's only melee & ranged attack with standard dodge & bad parry system (it's so hard to parry, eventho you already hit r1 button on time or just before enemy hit. It makes the shield useless). While in odyssey, the combat is so variative. Besides doing melee and ranged attack, you also could use skill wheel that consists variative unique abilities depending on what style do you wanna play (hunter, warrior, assasin). Besides variative unique skill wheels, you also could spend skill points to upgrade your stats, it makes the game's progression seems unlimited because you always have skill points to spend Dodge system in odyssey is also fun with slow mo effect when you do it on momentum. And you have smooth parry system that make it effortless and let you get critical damage after parry (same with after-dodge). Plus, It doesnt take any damage when you fall to the ground. As a hack and slash fan, playing origins for the first time makes me bored because you're limited to hitting r1+ r2 repetitively, and it grew on me that i started to enjoy it a lil bit, then after playing for a couple of hours, i'm just totally bored because there's literally no fun all at hitting r1 + r2 button repetitively with no special abilitybut. I know, there's a special ability called over power, but it feels no special at all, because all you get is just an ordinary short attack motion. Not to mention, the over power ability when bayek was bare handed is only a fucking drop kick lmao. I mean, in odyssey you'll get a badass hand to hand combo. Inventory: This is one of the most distinctive factor, gears in origins doesn't have engraving feature. It makes it boring, because the gear stats would be all the same. You would depend on legendary item to have great attributes. On the other hand, engraving feature in odyssey let you have fun in customizing not only weapon, but also armor stats & perks based on your preference of playing style (hunter, warrior, assasin). In origins, character appearance is only for fashion, doesn't have any useful factor in combat, while in odyssey like I said before, the armor has not only stats & perks that's so useful in combat and can be engraved, but you also could mix your armor gear (head, arms, torso, waist, legs) to vary your look. You also could change the visual of your armor and weapon based on your favorite look. So you're not limited to the standard look that the game gave you, but you could create your prefered look. While in origins, well, you would be stuck with the standard look with no usage in combat. Still talking about inventory, one thing upgraded by odyssey from origins is arrow crafting. In origins, arrow slot is so little and you can't craft arrows. It makes you depending on arrow harvest from enemies or forts, while in odyssey, that problem is solved by easy arrow crafting and more slot for arrow. Odyssey also replace the bow type with hunter skill and arrow types, so you literally can use all the perks from every origins bow types with just 1 bow like predator shot (essier to control than the one from origins. In origins, arrow motion is too sensitive to control), spread shot, or rapid shot. Besides those abilities, you also have unique abilities like devasvating shot that could explode enemies, rain of destruction that rain down arrows to hit enemies in wide area from hidden spot, artemis trickery that can create trap, multishot that could hit multiple enemies at 1 shot, or ghost arrow that could go through walls, very useful for stealth. You also could use different types of arrow like poison arrow, fire arrow, death arrow, paralyze arrow, explosion arrow (something origins don't have). Oh, and you could engraved your normal arrow to become fire or poison arrow as well. Moreover, the inventory customization also applies to ship. You could upgrade your ship, reqruiting the Luitenant, and customize your ship visual. Not to mention items in odyssey's blacksmith are way more than origins' blacksmith Storyline: Odyssey haters said that odyssey quest is repetitive and the storyline sucks as if origins isn't repetitive itself and the storyline is masterpiece like the last of us. Origins storyline literally is just a basic revenge story that has repetitive pattern. From the start of the game till the end, it's all about revenge, nothing else. So bayek wants a revenge for the murder of his son. He hunts for the killer of bayek's son based on false clues after false clues. I mean, 1 time you thought you found the real killer after the clues that brought you there, then you found out that he/she isn't the real killer, then you found the new clues again that lead you to the real killer, aaaand he/she isn't the real killer again. The quest continues like that until the end of the game. Again and again. Character: Origins has no character development at all. From the Beggining to end, bayek's character is always same. While in odyssey, kassandra's life seems perfect with her family that love her so much. Until the cultist destroyed her life by making her father let her brother threw off the cliff and then tried to kill kassandra. Then her love to her father turns into hatred. As a child, she already became fugitive because she accidently killed the elder after trying to save her brother. She travelled alone to kephalonia. There, she grew up alone with no family and real purpose in life. She spent her days with emptyness as a mercenary by fighting thugs. Apart from her routine, she seems jobless. Untill she gets a job to kill her father, eventho she never kills a person before. After she gets her revenge to kill her father, she begins to get a purpose in her life. Finding her mother, saving her brother, reuniting her familiy, finding her real father, finding atlantis, becoming a gate keeper. And tbh, kassandra's character is more interesting to me than bayek's. I know, bayek's character is lovable. His caring and warming heart makes people like him. But, I don't know, his character seems very generic to me. He's like another typical hero, a superman wannabe + the good guy sheriff who helps, guards, & defends people. A type of character that you often find in american comic book or shonen manga. To me, an antihero like kassandra is more interesting. She's not labelling herself a good person because of what she does as a mercenary. What's interesting is that how a mercenary who does a dirty job like killing and stealing in a daily basis becomes an unlikely hero that everyone never thought. And if you download the dlc, you'll find out how kassandra battling her morality after she found the family of people that she killed as a part of her mercenary job. I just feel more emotion with kassandra, from the day she reunited with her mother, the time she got her revenge by killing his father, to farewell with herodotos. Sadness, happiness, hatred, all brought to tears. Odyssey's plot literally comes from small frame to bigger frame, from getting revenge on his father, finding her mother, saving her brother, destroying cultists, to become a staff keeper Quest: In odyssey, you never run out of mission. You always find quest from the job wall and story creator mode. I think it's great idea to prevent you from void of play after you finished all the main and side quests. Not only that, the quests in odyssey are also variative. After finishing all the main and side quests, you still can play the game such as attacking the fort to perform your stealth, looh the treasure, burn the resources, kill the leader, kill the mercenary, hunt the beasts, etc. And the most interesting of all is conquest battle. Not only you can perform all your skill in joining the war, but you also could perform your war ship skill by joining the ship battle. I think it's kinda clever that in order to make conquest battle available, you have to weaken their domain by killing leader & soldiers, burn their resources, and pillage their treasure. It's like basic strategy to take down a teritorial. When first i played origins, the combat makes me bored, then it grew on me that i can start to enjoy it, when get back from Odyssey to play origins again, i just realized that the combat is really boring. I just can't understand origins fanboys. Odyssey is literally an upgrade on every aspect of origins. Besides a variative combat system, you also have a freedom to customize the look of the character and the power at tribute of your weapon and armor, something origins that doesn't have. So it's not only the combat, but also the profile of the inventory that origins just makes me bored. People always be overcritized toward odyssey yet they never talk about origins flaws like bad parry system or control difficulties and the weak horse stamina in horse race that make the race so hard to win I still can mention another positive features in odyssey that old AC games doesn't have and it doesn't talk about by game communities: 1.quick save, you can make a checkpoint by yourself. 2. It doesnt take any damage when fall to the ground. Odyssey's haters are too blind to see Odyssey's positivies and too blind to see origins' flaws. Odyssey's positives always be overlooked by every small things they're called "flaws" that they overcritisized. They're just bandwagoners whose opinions are already affected by biased popular opinion and trend. They're just a boring followers of other minds who cant see something from other point of view. Thats why i never trust popular opinion.

Since a LOT of places in this game requires swimming in really murky/non visible waters (the air bubbles themselves sometimes, I swear) - You can get Posseidon's Trident early on, which unlocks an engraving you can put on anything and then you can breathe under water. Just sail there and avoid ships, then sneak to loot the chest. Look it up.

One that I played 60+ hours before discovering was.. you can stand.. on the horse.. when riding it.. like I played for so long and saw a hint that said in loading screen and it blew my mind..

Exploding arrows and Spartan kick. I have beaten enemies way above my level with these two tactics. The key to winning is not to get overpowered. On flat land I use Exploding arrows to stop a rush attack and set them on fire. They tend to get VERY distracted. If there are nearby tall buildings or cliffs I climb them. If baddies chase after me up, I kick them off and they severely injure or die. If they do not chase me up I shoot them with exploding arrows, Rinse and Repeat!

And the spear of Poseidon is THE best weapon to use while traveling the ocean floor AND you only have to have it equiped in one of the weapon slots so you can use any other weapon while exploring beneath the waves and naval battles.

Omg wow I didn't even notice there were different attacks after dodging. No wonder I always knocked back my enemies after entering slow-mo instead of doing the four hit combo.

Tag sharks around shipwrecks with Ikaros. You can then shoot them with arrows while treading water to keep from having to fight them underwater. You can also shoot them from a small boat as long as they're tagged. That's one I didn't know that helped me recently.

Anytime you board a ship and there is a mercenary ship or other ship waiting, you can swim to them and kill everyone on board. You can also use your bowl to fire arrows why jumping off a cliff. Why jumping off a high place on your enemy/enemies, L2 + R2 will launch a slam on the ground that will send your enemies off their feet. While hiding in a bush, you can fire arrows at your enemies and still avoid been detected as they come to you by moving away from your position or another nearby bush

Just an add on to the jumping on ships one. If you go to the side of a ship, you can hide under the edge, and it is impossible for the people on board to see you. So you can jump up, use multi shot, light enemies on fire, and immediately turn around and hide, unable to be killed. This works amazingly well for story missions or cultists on ships. Another tip is that when a cutscene places you into a fight, like against guards after the main character runs away, there is actually a period of time where the enemy agroes on to you. So if you build assassin, and have rush assassination, then spam that button as the cutscene ends, and you will be able to rush assassinate before the fight starts. This is especially helpful in fights with 3 or 4 guards, as one rush assassinate can chain enough to kill the entire squad with no fighting needed.

That ship shooting land units thing is pretty useful especially with the bounty mercenaries roam around the shore waiting for us ..I think it's pretty helpful u shared this idea

The ship one I knew from ac black flag, it's a useful strat and actually is helpful when battling the tempest, another thing you can do is if you manage to get into combat, the ai for the ships freeze up and wait for you to take back the wheel so you can use that to your advantage.

It's funny because I was actually working on making a combo video for each weapon type!

Sometimes when you board other ships they start moving and the npcs start flying if you kill them while they charge you. It's also fun when the boat you boarded ends up in a naval battle. Every time that boat you are on is rammed people fly.

Attract mercenaries into water if they use poison/fire bombs. Fight them on the roofs if they have a pet

You can jump onto ships in black flag too. Once you kill the Spanish/English on the deck and go back to your ship you automatically have boarded and cleared it. It's faster than the normal way of doing it. It's outdated info but yeah.

Cool, that one of killing spartans in the ship is really fun to try. and there is one that maybe some people dont know yet: while ridding, L1 and you can jump. I use it a lot. Great chanel, I will subscribe

I'm hiding bodies all the time, even if there is blood splattered or armour lying around, they don't care and stand guard there, so if I'm trying to clear out some fort quietly, it's a good way to kill multiple guards on the same spot without them being alerted by dead bodies lying around. So once I need to deal with the last few remaining guards I'm not swarmed by dozens of soldiers, but by only handful of them. And of course setting up trap on the fire signal helps for them to fail to call reinforcement and mercenaries.

I find the glitch funny that if your entering back on your ship on a sub region piece of land and find Heredatos glitching between the ship with a gitter in him and still can interact with him normally

1:18 this helped me a Lot mostly when killing the final cultist and he was level 50 and on a ship and I boarded another nearby ship and then swimmed to the cultist ship and the bow did the work for me

Brilliant. Another is very tough legendary animals like the Boar that farts - you can run around killing to gather four mercenaries who fight the boar for you.

I used Ikaros to take out many enemies, mercenaries and etc. I even used him to defeat and recruit Perseus. If the target is in open air where you have access to Ikaros, you can use him to take em out. It just takes a lot of patience for higher level targets.

Just don't dive too deep after a ship. At some point it becomes super dark and the pressure presses all the air out of your lungs. Had to find that out the hard way

One crazy thing I have done, very time consuming, using Ikaros to kill guards at the leader houses.

you can also get your bounty level up and have mercs chase you to your ship and pick them off until they are drained. Then you can spartan kick them(when power is low enough)to recruit them in crew

I was at level 36 or 37 and I was going after which ever cultists who were unvieled. So one of them was Iobates the Stoic who was at level 49. When I reached his location i.e., Lemnos, he was already fighting with around 5 high level spartans. I kid you not, he got killed by them and all I needed to do was wait around in bushes and only had to confirm kill.

Also, you can parkor stab someone in the neck just like Achilles in the movie Troy by assassinating while running past someone...pretty epic

It’s such a fun game, combat gives you a good sense of accomplishment, the aesthetics are stunning.. feel like taking no fall damage sort of ruins the immersion however, may as well if given us a flying chariot 🤷‍♂️😂

You can use an "elevator" that there are in most ports. Just stand near one

i think a lot of people know this but if you have fangs bow (the bow that turns normal arrows into poison) and light the tip with fire wherever you shoot will create a fire spark and will light anyone within radius of the spark on fire

one of the coolest random things that happened to me was that i was just roaming around outside a city (cant exactly remember where) and i saw a spartan and an athenian 1v1 so i did spectate them, when they killed each other i went and looted the body of the dead soldier and i found a note, that started a quest for me to go nearby in a cave and loot, so i did and found alot of drachmea. whats funny about this is that i already went to that cave like 2 hours before this event and looted it completely.

My favorite weapon and combo in the AC odyssey is the Staff of Dikastes combined with the engraving coming from Isu-Forged Warrior's Mace (that's if you finished the Faith of Atlantis DLC) what makes this unique is that the Staff do not kill, just incapacitate, than the engraving unlocked by that Isu weapon, applied to the staff makes you deal damage and a large area around you every time you hit someone, you can incapacitate somebody, even animals and keep hitting him on the ground, dealing damage and knocking down all enemies getting close to you, other great combination is rush assassination with the Isu-Forged Assassin's Mace, dealing assassin's damage to all around you, that's basically cheating, you can clean that boat in no time with that combo!

I always make my character op asf first before I start the story . I’m level 69 and iv probably only done 15% of the story line .😂😂😂 every time I do quest iv already finished them from exploding the world .😂😂

1:55 This is what i'm doing a lot. It can even work in deeper waters that you can't reach the bottom of, though as soon as you ram it to sink it (to get all those sweet resources), i recommend quickly tagging the chests with your eagle so you can find them easily. They sink slower than boats, though occasionally the ship will capsize on top of them to drag them down too fast. Only downside is you can't leave your post while being in combat, so try and only aggro one ship at a time by kiting it away from the pack. Once you've left your post, your ship won't get attacked until you're back. And if you're afraid of sharks, you're clear once you're at the surface, so no worries there either. But generally put, you can grab two chests that way like 90% of the time. If it's a 3-chest ship though, just save yourself the headache of trying to lure it into shoals and board it.

I’ve learned to control the enemy boats I swim out to. Climbing the mast/ using your eagle repeatedly can sometimes get the empty boat started or stopped. They seem to go in certain pre set patterns. I’ve been playing this game too long 😂

u can use one of the fighting ability the one where u jump and smash u can use that to save ur self from fall damage and if u use the heal ability after u run out of air for swimming to stay alive longer and longer under water

Idk if everyone knows this or not but if you have a hard time killing sharks you can use ikraos to find the shark then kill it with arrows or just go underwater and when you see a shark go back up (it will still be visible) and shoot arrows at it

you can use Ikaros to harass (and even damage) an enemy, while Ikaros is busy distracting you can shoot an arrow to their faces or use any of the hunter abilities and it won't alert them. this trick can be very handy for taking down a mercenary, polemarch or any of those elite enemies with tons of health. harass with ikaros, shoot them, rinse and repeat until dead they'll never know.

I wish odyssey never been a part of AC franchise so people could appreciate this game more because this game is unfairly hated by biased AC franchise and origins fans. 2nd reason why i hope this game never been a part of that shitty franchise because I want the sequel of odyssey

You can also ignite certain lights and during the day by firing a fire arrow or throwing a torch.

I like to swim up to moving ships and killing everyone on board, but I wish there was a way to somehow sink the boat once you're done, like setting it on fire, or using explosives, or something. Now I have to swim back to my ship and just sink it the normal way. Also, for a long time I didn't know you could build your adrenaline up by killing animals, so make sure and shoot all the deer, moose, bears, wolves, lynx and such during your travels, or before you raid a fort, it's totally worth it!

As far as I can tell the Pegasus is only mount in the game that doesn't get hurt from jumping off high ledges. You can jump off from any height and it doesn't faze the pegasus. Handy for travel.

If you assassinate someone standing at post in a fort, stash the body and hide nearby. the game keeps sending other guards over to the same post you vacated, so you can just wait and keep killing, up to about half the total number.

Finished the main story this weekend and just found out last night that you can kill people with Ikaros

You can stand on your horse and jump on top of someone to kill em. You can also lead all the wolves to kill mercenaries that are to hard to kill. You can also kill the baby boars over and over again without killing the legendary animal for unlimited soft leather in the sisters of athena quest. You can also get all the legendary chests as soon as you get the boat and leave the first island. Just letting you know you missed a few.

One thing I like to do is after boarding an enemy ship, I don't take command until I'm in a favorable position with any other ships I'm fighting. IE I wait until they aren't behind me. They won't attack you until you take command
