Great video Stephen the way you filmed the lightning. The sky black like in the night. It sounds nice listening to the rain. May get some thunder here in Berlin on Thursday or Friday. Very dry here and Forrest fires not far away from Berlin. Take care of yourself and be careful in this weather. There’s never a dull moment in Blackpool. ❤❤❤

I dislike thunderstorms intensely, especially lightning! Those walking or riding are risking their lives! I'm afraid of being killed, and some people have! Always seek shelter, and be safe!

Thought The Illuminations in Blackpool were on in October, not mid-June 😂. Can't beat a good thunderstorm. Had a cracking one here in Kilburn, Derbyshire, the other night. You could also hear Metallica playing at the Download festival - awesome. Top footage, pal 👍.

Great video but I Just love the way people are walking/cycling around like nothing is happening, lol. I was always taught since a kid when you see lightning, hit the deck and get under proper cover, like underpass or those pavilion seating things.

Not really, but I used a dslr with a rain cover. I also specifically chose a slow shutter speed for the video, to help capture strikes within a single frame.

Great lightning footage you caught there! We had storms here in Brum, Saturday, Sunday and Monday. Sundays storm was a real humdinger with really eerie looking clouds, but unlike you I'm not brave enough to capture it on film. Great work mate.
