For me, it's been a typical 'change over day' (Friday) Usually the worst day of the week! Low and behold, the day trippers and gormless folk came to stare at the un-changed illuminations.

Was there exactly a week ago and was glorious, was nice enough to sit outside and eat at Papa's, what a difference a week makes. Came home to Florida to Hurricane Ian, thankfully been and gone but still no power!

Been up there in a storm.before a few times, couldn't stand up in the wind and waves were epic on the seafront.

Hi Stephen. Catching up on videos tonight. Storm video was awesome👌. Thankfully promenade is protected and hotels are safer against adverse weather. Really enjoyed last Fridays video(Glasgow weekend). Good to see Blackpool from the north end. Tiffanys is where me and my family stay and have done for over 16 years. Anyway keep bringing Blackpool to us and stay safe. 👍👍

Much better waves than I saw this morning between St Chad's and South Pier, the morning after Storm Agnes but I was late to the party, so I think I missed the best of the waves, even though I got a bit too close to the railing and got a bit of a soaking. Looking at the spitfire at Gynn Square in this video, I much the new trio of spitfires that are there now. Xxx

Great video Stephen, I was planning on coming up sometime this weekend but I’ll wait until possibly during the week. Seen waves like that quite a few times over the years in Blackpool, seen worse too but it never ceases to amaze me the way some idiot will do their utmost to get a selfie as near as possible to the waves, not just in Blackpool, anywhere near the coast, even standing on Harbour walls, they show no respect to what Mother Nature can do, not including you or even most photographers, most but not all, can’t even say it’s youngsters as I see people taking their dog for a walk doing it, if they want to put themselves at risk fine, but leave the dog at home. Every time I walk around the lower promenade I feel disgusted the way it’s been left to rot, people openly dealing and taking drugs, and I don’t mean a joint, it needs maintaining and maybe a garden put on the upper prom, like you said there isn’t one on the main drag in Blackpool, but there could be a few along this part, make it more of a destination for them. Stay safe mate, keep em coming.

Blackpool at its best in stormy weather but this is not a real Blackpool storm! Trams still running and the Prom open! Took a bus of kids thirty years ago to the lights which they enjoyed but what really amazed them was the sound of the sea and the waves!
