+jakemf1I happen to have six such videos on my channel, all of which are utterly terrible, old, and half-assed, and I am perfectly willing to receive critique on them, even though I no longer own any of the equipment I used to make the videos. I was under the impression that the comments section existed so that people could post their opinions. I tried to do something a bit more useful and, hopefully, more kind than 'your tone sucks, lol'. I was, and also still am, aware of the minuscule odds of my critique reaching 17', who is the only person that would be able to act upon the critique even if it mattered which it doesn't because I am an insignificant, tiny speck on the internet and I know it. Knowing this, my comment itself was posted for selfish reasons because my opinion is meaningless and I wouldn't expect anyone to act on it anyway. Normally, I wouldn't have even posted the comment at all for the same reason, but for some reason it kept bothering me, perhaps I was feeling particularly selfish that day, I don't recall.

Doubt this is a girl. But oh well. We p're here for the talent not the pingas.

I'm not sure which gender they are and if it should even matter ultimately, hehe. But as someone who has played SG guitars some were notoriously famous for having very small and slender necks, which makes them the favored instruments of female guitarists, Joan Jett being an example of someone who has played 60s era SG or SG-based Melody Makers pretty much her whole career. I think her main guitar was a '62. Angus Young also used a '63 with the same slender neck. The reason? Small hands. Me? I got big hands and can fret all 6 strings on an SG with 1 & 5/8th inch nut width like those used by Angus Young and Joan Jett for example, just by laying my thumb from over the top. On a more common nut widths I can only manage 4 or 5 strings. Whoever this guitarist is, man or woman, their use of the thumb shows they can only fret what appears to be 3 to 4 strings on what may be a 1 & 5/8th inch wide neck. Small hands. Not necessarily indicative of gender though. There's other things like certain fingers being longer/shorter, also ankle and foot bones are different but hard to tell until they stand on their toes and arch their feet, which the guitarist doesn't do. Watch some Jimi Hendrix playing. He was famous for using his thumb to fret a lot in his playing and he had God-like hands compared to me and he could literally fret anything on the fretboard with just his thumb, lol. I suck by comparison. ;-)
