Jake had an unexpected hospital visit and had to go to the emergency room. He cut his foot and it was hurting really bad. Turns out he had glass in his foot! The hospital visit turned out good because the emergency room doctor was really good with Jake.

Crystal you are an awesome mother. People think that when you adopt kids you can't love them as your own. To those who think that need to watch Crystal. If you didn't know she adopted children you would think she birthed them. Crystal you are an awesome mom. The concern and love you show these kids is beautiful!!❤❤

With multiple knee surgeries in my past I definitely understand wanting to get up and going but don't push further than the doctor says. St same time push as far as you can. And Jake all I can say is owwee. I know that hurt. Everyone else stay safe and have a great weekend

I can relate. The needing help with showering is always the worst part for me when I have surgery. I'm glad Alex and Jake are feeling better!

Hope y’all feel better. I love watching your channel. The feeling when you finally take a shower is amazing. When I was in the hospital for 8 days with a collapsed lung i told my mom as soon as I get discharged to take me to the hair salon so they can wash my hair.

Bless you, Crystal. I probably would have listened to Jake and just watched it for a few days... then the kid would probably, actually, lose his foot... bless you for following your instincts and caring so deeply for your children.

A future idea, if you need to keep his knee dry, wrap a trash bag around his knee and then tape onto his shorts. It will do a great job of keeping the water out. Ouch, poor Jake, but he's definitely tough for getting through that! That's never fun having to have a doctor dig around to get something. You are such a great mom, taking such good care of your boys while they're injured and needing some extra love and support!

The mother reminds me of my own mother. As a baby and growing up I was always in and out of the hospital because of complications from the shunt placement I needed 11mnths after birth!! The mother on here is so caring, loving, and will do anything for her kids just like my mom did for me and my sister!!

Jake and Alex get better soon I have never cut my foot or broken a bone but I feel so bad for you Crystal you must be going through so much with all of these hospital visits with Jake and Alex cause now Jake has to get his stitches out. I also love the way you treat your kids because of you when I grow up I want to adopt kids because you showed me that not all foster parents are mean

So I broke both my arms and my mom found these plastic cast covers which was made for going into water without getting the cast wet and I’m pretty sure you can order or go to CVS or Walgreens(whatever you guys have) and find some for the leg

You can also use saran wrap and waterproof tape. With all boys at my house you learn a few tricks but I did not know they actually made them. Nice to know thank you

I have had 5 total knee surgeries and I can just imagine how Alex is feeling. I recently had a 2 hour surgery on my foot. I am going through the same thing. Elevation and icing. Plus, I have to we’re a boot on my foot, even in bed. I have 3 more weeks before I can take it off and sleep normally. Hope you get better soon Alex. You have a wonderful family that can help you. I work as a CNA and we always tape wounds by wrapping a bag around them and then wtaer proof tape around the top and bottom edges

Jake you were so brave. I know those nerve blocks hurt and you had to get 3. I have to get them in my back every 3 months due to chronic pain so I was cringing with you. That is a lot to handle as young man but, you did amazing. Crystal you are such an awesome mom. When my kids had to get stitches I would feel flushed and would have to sit down ( and I'm a nurse). Its different when its your own baby though cuz we feel the pain too and want to take it away. You're an amazing family!

I had 2 shoulder surgeries and I’m 4 months post op. I I’m so happy can get dressed move take a shower with out a shower chair and all that. Both of my shoulders had a half SHREDDED labrum. I had to keep my arm at my side for 6 weeks in an immobilizer. God it’s hard

I feel Alex recovery going well. That the painful part is not being able to move. I went through very similar pain the Alex has with my knee too when it was repair and fix. After walking with a ACL torn for a month. Finally having surgery later.

After my last surgery I wasnt able to shower for 3 weeks and I had to use the wheelchair for 4 weeks, than crutches for another 4 weeks. Hope you get better soon, Alex! Greetings from Germany.

If the elevation hurts, try putting one pillow more under his thigh for support. I just had knee surgery as well (5th one on the same knee - ive had a lateral release, tibia tubercle osteotomy, hardware removal from the osteotomy, a trocheloplasty and mpfl reconstruction ) - The pillow under the thigh will help it feel like there is more support and not make his body "work" to keep the leg in the air. Itll take some strain off. I would also see if you can get a cyrotherapy ice machine. It provides constant cold water and compression around the joint to reduce swelling. I have a Breg Polar Care Kodiak Unit. I had it on 24/7( kept my leg wrapped with cotton and an ice bandage to protect the skin from the cold) for about the first 4 week, then have slowly progressed to really just using it at night. Itll help a lot with the pain from bone surgery

They have bags to go over cast at medical stores that can go way over the knee I had 2 knee surgery and that is what I used

Omg i had the same thing my freshman year of high school and i had 7 stitches and i remember them searching for glass in my foot as well. So i totally understand how Jake must have felt

When my youngest went to BYU, he dropped a needle on his dorm floor and never found it...until it got jammed into the end of his toe. They had to cut his toe open to get it out. It was not wonderful.

I love the McGriddle from McDonald's ! I'm glad you're kids are doing well. Last Surgery I had my wisdom teeth, and to find out that my lil sister said she hated me while I was in surgery.

Aww, Jake is so brave. It IS difficult to num your foot, cause there are ALOT of nerves around there. You really can be proud of yourself, and you totally was entitled to cry with that trauma... But now that is over and you will be better in a couple of days I think. That glass just had to be painful... but happy that you got it out ;) Lots of love from Norway ;)

I've seen many people who have adopted and I've never seen them do a better job than you and your sister you take care of them like there real mum one thing im confused about is how you ca take care of all of them so well I can't even cook and your over there being a loving and supporting mother

If you hurt your knee again and it swells use the RICE method Rest Ice Compression Elevationm

Use epsom salt my feet are swollen too due to pregnancy but epsom salt reduces the swelling. Put epsom salt in warm water and soak for 30 minutes

I use a small patch with gell. I think it's call Fever cool. Maybe put a couple around the wound. It will be cool for at least 10 hours. I use them for wounds Just on top of gauze wrap. They are in the child area with the fever section Only place In Walgreens good luck.

I am adopted and after watching some of your videos I think my biological mom did it for a good reason and you are an amazing mother Crystal I love you guys stay crazy and hope you feel better
