I have the Ender 3 s1, I have added the wham Bam pex build plate along with their hot box so I can print abs. So far it has been a great printer. 👍

Ender 3 S1 is my next printer, though I still love my original Ender 3 ( with a ton of upgrades, thanks to you guys !!). My OG E3 has upgraded motherboard (4.2.7 ), screen, etc. The reason I want the new one is now that I know about 3D printing, I want one out of the box that just does it. TPU is still a hassle, it would be nice to have it work great out of the box. Nice review / comp.

Is the other boss also 32 bit because you mentioned it was a new board but didn't say if it was 32 bit

Do the ender 3, 3 v2, and 3 s1 all have the same frame setup? I've only been able to look at pictures, I'm thinking of buying a broken 3 v1 off if eBay for the frame and bed then get the rest from other places to save a bit of money and also to upgrade it for the future. Are the frames the same?

Can you run Linear Advance on latest Marlin? Or is it the same TMC2208 extruder driver that crashes when you try to run it? Also what's the fuzz about double Z? The hotend is not that heavy and the printer is not that fast anyway... Also, why compare it to V2? It's the worst of the bunch - bad screen, silly PSU placement, bugged TMC2208 on extruder...

S1 is better but its more expensive

My s1 model is absolute garbage and broke multiple times whenever I had tried to relevel it or even try to fix it. More hassle then it was worth. The auto level made no sense and I would’ve been fine if it have a manual level mode.

Re: I have recently given silicon columns a try instead of spring and they have fixed the leveling issue entirely. I find the springs method unreliable. I recently learned that the custom firmware also fixes a lot of issue with the auto level too.
