My experience with the Creality K1C has been disappointing...
I dint even bring up this darn things inability to set its own Z-Offset properly half the time...

bro without tuning it prints okay, just tune it and youll see how good of a machine it is. ofc it has small issues like any other brand. remember you are paying fraction of what p1s or carbon costs, and spending extra 130 bucks it can literally annihilate bambus

Where Creality has positioned this in the market, shouldn't have to do things like fix the extruder before 300 hours. Shouldn't have to jail break it to fix the input shaping. Being an appliance style printer, I shouldn't even have to make a full on profile just to turn out basic prints... If I wanted to do all that, I could get many many different printers for less $

$456 is a premium printer price? What can i get that is better and with as much potential for future improvements due to open source nature? I CANNOT go above $500, the reason is simple, i've set my limit to 200, then i raised to 300, and i can't continue to raise the price point :( What can i get for 450 or less that is as good or better than the K1C, with enclosure and camera? Thanks for the review.

$559 is the regular MSRP for this printer, if you can get it on sale closer to $400 thats one thing, but expect to be repairing the extruder somewhat frequently and wasting filament to tune your profiles. I haven't looked at every printer out there obviously so I can only point you so far. Consider checking out the QiDi Q1 Pro Join the user facebook group for it and get a more well rounded experience of it than just YT reviews. Search it up on reddit too.

@@Armored_Turtle-RK Thank you very much for your reply. You're absolutely right, the original price is close to $600 now that i checked it. Took your suggestion and saw a "Aurora tech" review of that Qidi and it is packed with features!!! Looks awesome and it is around the same price point ($450) , but on the review, it showed the K1C print quality is superior :( Reddit does mention that the K1C is mostly a hit or miss, if you get lucky, you get outstanding printer and prints, if you get unlucky, you're stuck with crappy customer support. Keep up the honest reviews, you got another sub :)

@@trulsdirio that is a great deal, but some people complain of warping due to lack of enclosure for fast prints. And there is a factor when choosing a printer that might sound silly, but as a strict open source software user, i really don't appreciate the closed system of Bambu, although i recognise they're superior on all aspects. The same way i wouldn't use MacOS or Windows even if loosing CPU/GPU power

I was considering buying k1C or MAX to add to my printer army, I have bambulab X1C so far no problem at all except for 3, sometime the filament would be broken inside the AMS unit(I'm guessing filament wasn't dry), print got knock out probably because of my setting, and I have issue with screen too but bambu sent replacement unit without any charged of shipping at all, overall been print great, fast and reliable, coming from Anet, and anycubic printer Creality somehow have great price point, but the costumer service and the printer itself seems bad after I saw a lot of review I'm considering Elegoo Neptune 4 MAX, as I'm need large size for my project, but seems have quality issue with firmware, leveling and the famous "blob", and going with bed slinger, slower speed+ringing and layer shifting making me still consider Creality do you have any recommended printer in the big size and price range of neptune max?
@Armored_Turtle-RK
@Armored_Turtle-RK 24 күн бұрын
The neptune max is a really large printer for the price point, I cant speak to the 4 max but I do have a 3 max and ill just leave it at this: Its used exactly the same as a junk drawer is... I have gotten some decent large prints off of it but the bed never seams to stay level enough for a good first layer and I have to adjust the z offset live every single time. For 350 sized printers there isn't much in a similar price range unfortunately. The Sovol SV08 looks promising but I cant really say as I ordered it April 18th and have yet to hear anything from them...

I got the k1, which had a lot of updates on the k1c. K1 needs a lot of upgrades to print good. The entire hotend assembly and extruder needs replacement, cause it sucks. No more creality for me, unless they finally make it good. Until then, its yearly release of experimentation and let the user fix the issues.

Lots of corners cut. One of the biggest problems is that the current Creality extruder design is fundamentally flawed and you will never get perfectly clean prints with it. There are just much better printers for the money. Personally I would go with Qidi. I hope the K2 is better, but I have my doubts.

@802Garage
@802Garage 22 күн бұрын
@@rubiskelter Wow, I didn't realize they had dropped the price of the K1C that low! I'm talking about the Q1 Pro. It was $439 every day with a coupon, but right now it's back up to $499 because of the sale. If you spend $1 more, you get $50 automatically, making the price $449 plus whatever else you get. Cheapest filament is $25 for GF ABS which would honestly be fun to print with and would print fantastic on the Q1 Pro. Brings the total to $474. You can also take $30 off with 30DAYSGIFT making it $469 alone. IMO the Q1 Pro is superior to the K1C in every way except possibly looks which are subjective. The main advantages to note though are superior extrusion quality with way less VFA, a larger build volume, and the heated chamber. The Q1 Pro can print pretty much any difficult filament like CF Nylon or picky ABS out of the box with no warping or other issues. Check out reviews as almost all of them are great.

So you have basicly this points in video: 1) x-axis wedging issue (ringing) 2) one bad script of pulling out filament? 3) bad labels? You overreacting a bit, don't you think? And K1C costs $500 or less, not $600 X-axis wedging issue may be solved by 1) removing grease from x-axis; 2) replacing springs with weaker ones; 3) and if nothing helped grinding out of bushing housing. There are much more issues known to community you have not mentioned (though they are more rare). Some of them are: bad factory leveling of printing bed; feeder overheating and clogging; thermopaste issue in heater; tenso sensors failure; camera overheating; gantry racking.

Did you not even check the website?... It's on sale right now but it's normally 560$ and that's msrp, if it's constantly under 500$ then you should know why. It's a bad purchase even at the sale price, I would hands down pay prusa tax before buying a Creality printer. I don't know a single person that has not had significant issues with any of the K1 printers and fixing these issues costs hours of time... Unless you value your time as near nothing you made a bad purchase with this machine.

@@TrollingTardcore what I want to say is that this printer is still a good deal with only alternative is qidi q1. As far as I know. And before buying it you should know that some issues should be addressed: 1) (optional) it shood be rooted 2) x-axis issue should be fixed... That is pretty much it. After that you should be good and it will take about 1 hour to do. Nice way to save $200 on more expensive printer.

@@binariti The extruder is also a travesty and is a ticking time bomb. It will fail and is a serious endeavor to repair (the toolhead was not designed with maintenance in mind). @binariti
@binariti 19 күн бұрын
@@Armored_Turtle-RK I'm not sure about extruder and what do you mean. What will fail for sure is heater because if you print on high temperatures thermopaste will fail for sure. But it is not very hard to reapply. There is a chance that it will not fail if you print on low temperatures though. Other than that there is not much failure points... Everything can be disassembled without much trouble. Feeder motor can sometimes overheat filament and cause clogging, though that is quite rare. Other than that there is not much to fear.

Couldnt agree more. Its a fine enough printer, but for the money it just dosnt live up to the competition. People who seem to love this printer tend to come from Enders and never used much of anything else. The moment you leave the Crealitty half baked eco system you will see this thing just dosnt compete. Yeah, Bambu is the best right now, but its not just Bambu thats better than this printer. All the other modern corexy printers I have used have been better than this so far. Were long past the days of hobby 3d printing. If you want a hobby 3d printer to tinker on, thats super, build a Voron or one of the countless other awesome open source alternatives. When you pay good money for a printer, it should simply work out of the box without tuning/tinkering!
