I'm glad this was helpful! I will say that with some newer printers, the printer manufacturers are putting reasonably well-done assembly videos on the memory cards that come with the printers, so it's been a while since I went into this level of detail for a printer build. But then again, this one kind of needed it.

Newbie here...GREAT VIDEO! I got my Ender 3v2 for Christmas and did not even read the setup instructions as I found your video far more helpful. Only ran into two small issues: fist time feeding filament into the extruder I could not get it to go into the second hole and into the tube (it kept wanting to curl out of the extruder) and then when I started to do the test print my bed was ever-so-slightly off and I got a little curling on my first layer. Stopped the print, cleaned the bed, ran the leveling G-code again, made a few adjustments and now I am 35 minutes into printing the cat. Looking forward to learning more and getting better with my new "toy". Thanks for the help!

The V2 is the first 3D printer I purchased, but in the meantime I bought and received a CR-10 Mini from an Amazon return auction that I have been using. I mention it because I came to the conclusion that it was returned due to the white PLA sample included being complete garbage. The Bowden tube was full of filament that broke into pieces as I pushed it out and the filament on the spool had random sections that snapped when bent like the sample in your video seemed to do. No complaints though as it has printed ever other filament I've used spectacularly and it meant I got the Mini for under $200 shipped to my door!
@BV3D
@BV3D 4 жыл бұрын
It's funny how something as simple as a bad filament sample can sour someone on a 3D printer. On the bright side, that bad filament sample netted you a good deal on that CR-10 Mini. 👍Let me know how your v2 build goes!

Bryan has done it again with what is, in my opinion, the best beginner's guide to the Ender 3 V2. I watched this video once through, then again as I put my Ender 3 V2 together - and it went just fine. My first print (the included cat file) is printing now, but the first few layers went down great! This machine is insanely quiet compared to my old Monoprice Maker Select Plus/Wanhao i3 Plus. The fans do make a decent bit of noise but the motor/operation of the machine is dead quiet. Color me impressed, both with the machine and Bryan's video. Thanks for the help, and good luck to everyone else on setting up their new device!

Your video really took the stress out of my first 3d printer setup and calibration. Took my time and didn’t have any issues except the first time I manually “paralleled” the bed. Once I got the feel for the proper resistance to the paper it was a breeze. Then after running the leveling gcode I felt so much more confident in the process. During assembly I switched out the bowden tube with the Capricorn tubing, switched out the springs for silicone but I’m keeping everything else stock for a while. Once again, thanks very much!

THANK YOU Sooooo Much for this "Hand Holding" as they say in the comments. It's EXACTLY what I need! I am BRAND NEW to 3D printing, and after long and CAREFUL research, I decided on the Ender 3 V2. Everything I've seen, including this video, has made me think I made the right decision. The printer came today and I didn't even want to open the box until after I have seen how to assemble and "Calibrate" the printer. Your step by step, clear and calm voice has instilled me with (cautious) CONFIDENCE! I subscribed 5 minutes into your video after I saw how this was going to go. Thank you again for your awesome work!

Ok, I had to pause the video to comment. Your video is incredible. I've seen so many other videos that are close to this but they leave out very important steps. For example... this is the very first video I've seen that mentions the Ender 3's inability to read files that are in a folder. It took me so long to figure that out. Great video.

I completely agree with what a lot of people are saying - this video was awesome! The manual is horrible, especially for someone new to 3D printing, but with a degree in computer science and having assembled my share of PCs and IKEA furniture. This video saved me hours of setup, the leveling file was on-point, and I’m already printing the cat! Thanks for a great video. I’d give you more than one thumbs up if I could.

One of the best unboxing and set up video's I've ever seen... on any product. truly professional level, actually better than most professionals... I wrote operation manuals for years, then was a Manufacturing Engineer producing build instructions for our production floor (Fortune 50 company), and now have been doing Mechanical Design work for 10 years.. You were clear, concise, mentioned critical points (like where edges should line up and what parts to use) ... had good shots of the parts.. etc.. again,, congrats.. oh, and even your Video Editing is spot on.... Subscribed... PS , getting an Ender 3v2 for Christmas (my first 3d printer) so this was perfect..

I just got my Ender 3 V2, a few days ago, and was very exited when i opened the box. I admit, there were more pieces than i had imagined, so i had to take a break, and look to the net for help. I found your video, and, literally in less than an hour, i had the printer up and running my first print. Your explanation, was far better than the printed manual, that was perfect. So having watched more of your videos, i am waiting, to receive a BLtouch, a a swiss all metal hotend, and a new all metal extruder - an knowing where to get the instructions. They are easy to understand, and go in a nice and easy pace. BTW - Octoprint was a piece of cake to install, following your instructions. Thank you very much..

More info as of Feb 2021 - I'll add my tips here, based on what I learned as a complete novice!! Hope it helps someone. Great tutorial - well presented, clear instruction. One thing I'd add is how to wrangle the cords and cables from the power supply. As you start pushing nozzles and steppers around (21min - 22min), cords can get caught and pulled around etc. There's an optimal position each cord ought to be held in. Not a big issue, but something beginners should be aware of. Also, the metal contacts on the micro-sd card go UPWARD facing - feels like you're inserting the SD card "upside down" Also - in the MicroSD card that comes with the printer, there's a folder called "Operation Video" - in that is an official Creality video that shows most steps here in more detail. You can access this on a PC/Mac. Again - great video! Thanks.

Thank you very, very much. You got me through the unboxing almost all the way to the end. I sincerely appreciate your efforts and candor :) . The Z axis nut also fell out of the packaging for me as I was going along with you, I had the same look on my face...lol. A couple things not in this video that I ran into. 1 I was really struggling to level the bed, I realized the back left corner where the element is attached was making that corner too high and I didn't have enough slack in the springs to level it. The 1mm of play that autohome gives was too much for me. So I ended up tightening the z-stop about 0.5mm from it being fully closed, then autohome set it much closer to the bed. And number 2, you made loading the filament in this look easy, but mine is getting stuck and I'm turning the blue dial to try to pull it through but I guess I don't know what I'm doing, so I have to chase down another video for that. But anyway THANK YOU!! Wonderful video, Creality should link to your video instead of their instructions :D

Thanks for the video. Had a few minor issues during the assembly, but the first print was surprisingly good really. There is surprising detail in the outer layers of the cube I printed. The video was very helpful.

Hi BV. i would say do not use printer or copy paper instead use an old business card they are often 1 mm thick put like you do with the paper and turn the screw now when you feel friction on the card and you see a small indentation you are golden. If you use a peace of copy paper your two close and you get the squashed out lines and your print start to get wave look on the print and the print head might get caught on these layers. making an uneven print and you can also see it because you get a lot of crap or burned filament on the print head, this you have to clean later on, so use a business card remember you should be able to pull the card out when hit by the nozzle, but it should leave a small indent on the card. happy trails my friends.
