INGREDIENTS I USED:
Baked at 325 degrees for 1 hour 20 mins. (Time may vary depending on your cake pan and/or oven.)
3 C Swans Down Cake Flour
3 C Sugar
3 Sticks UNsalted Butter
6 Large Eggs
8 Oz. Cream Cheese
1/4 Tsp Salt
1 21oz Can Cherry Pie Filling
1 Tsp Almond Extract
*Glaze
Powdered Sugar
Milk
Creme Bouquet
Food Coloring

Hello Ms Donna, I am not new to your channel but this is my first time commenting. I made this cake and it was delicious. Just a suggestion: Instead of using food coloring. I made my glaze inside the can of cherries after emptying it, and it came out with the red/ pink tint to it also the cherry flavor. I just love you and dude #1. Hey Mrs. Donna!! I am so glad that you are feeling better and am glad to see you baking again!! I have just got to say this cake is beautiful and so wonderfully delicious!! When Dude #1 surprised us with this, I looked at it and could not wait to take a bite of it. I knew that I had to wait for lunch so, needless to say, my mouth watered at work until lunch!! I actually did wait, but when I unwrapped it, I could smell all the flavors..cherry and almond...and then the flavors really came out with that first bite. It is my favorite thus far. I never use baking powder in my pound cakes. Tends to make the cake a little dry. Cherries are my favorite fruit. God willing I will make this cake for my birthday!
