The series continues! With the latest Create Mod Update (0.5) we now have Steam Whistles, an incredible musical block!
This video is me experimenting and discovering the different qualities of steam whistles. I also create a steam whistle organ and combine it with some previous experiments (The Melody Machine and the Creatotron).

I love the using note blocks as percussion for the song at the end, and also actually taking advantage of sustained notes, would love to see whistles and blocks blended together even more. Gonna go binge the rest of the experiments now!

Not letting me edit, so reply it is; having now seen the rest of the series, I better understand what’s going on, and the whistle work wonderfully in place of the melody machine, especially in sustained notes and chords, though I’d like to see instrument experiments including them, as well, could be some very interesting results Either way, love this all! Create is just the best damn mod…

Combine this with that one aeronautics expansion to the mod that's being made and you could play Flight of the Valkyries on the inside of a giant airship/blimp.

Since Computercraft supposedly will work on Aeronautics constructs, could even have like, a musical horn. ... hm. Actually, for that matter, if anyone's made a note block player program could probably use it either outright or slightly modified and have a selection. Edit: well. "Slightly modified" is probably incorrect, but you could probably tear it apart and bodge something together.

Loving your work as always! It’s great that we can sustain notes easily now! I can’t wait to see what you decide to do with this! If you wouldn’t mind, and get the time. I’d personally love to see you show us how to program the creatron so we can try it ourselves, although I understand if you don’t want to. Either way, your content is great, keep it up Tonestas!

Thank you! Honestly, the programming is quite simple, just slow and repetitive. You catch glimpses of it in experiment #10. The repeater lines are exactly how you would program vanilla note block (repeater, block, repeater, block) with redstone links on the blocks. The complexity comes from the many, many redstone link codes I've needed to use! My Godfather Theme video has a schematic in the description, if you want to download it and explore for yourself!
