A portrait pop out effect is an easy design style that can be accomplished in Adobe Photoshop. The idea behind a portrait pop out is to design your photography with graphics. In photoshop you cut out your subject within your photos. Then you wrapped them inside of a shape. From there you extend your subject to expand through the shape. The portrait pop out effect is completed with several steps in Photoshop.

1. Select the Ellipse tool. Remove the fill and set stroke to 1.
2. Position your photo to be within the circle.
3. Select your subject and make a layer mask.
4. Select your brush tool and draw back over the area of your photo your masked out.

6. Delete the unwanted background outside of your subject.
