If you use loop points on the envelope in envelope controller (right click an existing point and look at the bottom of the menu) it becomes like lfo tool but with re-trigger on (in case you don't want to deal with peak control's lfo *always* cycling). I like it because it just makes it so whenever I hit a note the effect is re-triggered. I take advantage of this in instrument racks by loading any patcher effect preset inside an instrument instance of patcher or you could link it with a midi out channel if you wanted the effects to stay in the mixer.

I used Patcher to make sound manglers and pitch inversers. Using frequency splitter and pitch/frequency shifter you can isolate frequency bands and change their pitch individually which can create some super trippy effects like “upside down pitch”. We all know about reversing sound but what if you could literally swap frequencies upside down?

Even things unique to patcher aside, I find it such an incredible way to make the mixer a hundred times as flexible and organized. I've had saved presets for my mixer, but when I'd wanna apply that chain effect somewhere in the middle of my already applied effects, I'd have to save all the post ones and delete them, route that to the chain effect, route that to the post effects, route that back to wherever all this was supposed to go in the first place. Or, alternatively, patcher. Something I'd love to suplement it, though, it'd be great if we could route our mixers without going through ALL the plugins, so you'd basically lead a wire from/to plugins to skip ones after/before respectively. RIP if those plugins you'd have to reapply were automated like crazy, btw. Honestly, though, I can't ask for anything more from FL. What I REALLY wish got an upgrade is the limitations of MIDI every DAW has to deal with. I mean, FL could do some stuff to alleviate it, but ideally they just create the interface for universal features, and all updated plugins communicate with it. I'm mainly thinking about one thing: Why is our grid so rigid? Drag/input values/open presets/cycle through a project's grid setups to offset the position of each vertical and horizontal line, and everything resnaps optionally, so that 16th note shrinks when you move it to the one before it, if that one happens to be tighter. Delays/sequencer effects etc. could be set to follow these lines just like the ones that coordinate with the swing amount, and of course, vertical would just be xenharmonics. Currently, automating the bpm in a half-bar long pattern or so let's me easily snap things to a groove, which has major limitations/issues, plugins like Surge XT give me access to xenharmonics, again with limitations and a less than ideal visual representation, but imagine the greatness that could be MIDI 2.0 if it came with more creative features like this. Hell, someone could even create a sick sampler that smoothly chops stuff up and stretches to fit alongside the groove. Ohh yeah, and ''inverse quantization''! Play or program a groove and have the midi lines adjust itself to that, not the other way around. Having multiple grid setups to cycle through could also be nice for polyrhythms and flams etc., like that clap just before the snare to get that snap.
