Happy to see all of you here! We're excited with the launch of our channel and hope to help you with all things organic gardening, homesteading and woodworking!
I'm Luke and I have been wanting to make some videos to help others be successful gardeners, homesteaders and woodworkers. Together with my wife, our family, and my father and his, we hope our videos are a blessing to you as you learn how we put food on our table, take care of our homesteads and do some woodworking projects together!
Here are some of our favorite tools in the video;

I love wood the smell the tactile feel and the various colours. My dad was very good with his hands, no electric equipment not even a drill his was a hand wind one, loved it but he made some beautiful items. I loved when he was planing wood though I never was a recipient of anything he made. Watching you work together is heartwarming and what a beautiful board you made.

just found your channel, loved the soil mix guides for seeding and container mixes, took lots of notes. Watched pretty much all your gardening videos as I'm building a new section on my garden and I'm really trying to get the soil dialed in for this section with less trial and error. Thank you both for a great resource. I'm a finish carpenter these days and I get a ton of scrapwood off our projects. I'm hoarding all kinds of nice wood pieces to build some cutting boards, luffa handles, shadow boxes etc. Thanks for all the great ideas. Beaufort, South Carolina

Thank you for doing your videos. I'm a keen gardener who also loves to work with wood. My eldest son also loved working with wood and made some pieces for me and I will be starting woodworking classes at college within the next year in honour of him and the love we shared for life, his name was also Luke which means the giver of light ❤💔❤

I recently found your channel. Beautiful woodworking guys. My real love is gardening. Your videos and tutorials are fabulous! Love that you are organic and concerned with the minerals in our food. Keep making great content. The knowledge you share is truly appreciated. I follow a handful of KZfaq channels already but have found yours to be especially helpful. So much so, that I’ve shared the channel with my daughters who also love gardening, raising animals, and all things wholesome.

I have no problem with how your father uses the jointer bare handed, I do the same, If you are not used to running this type of machinery, get you some push feathers or sticks. This man is obviously very experienced, he is keeping real. I have ran jointers, table saws, router tables, etc and I typically do it bare handed, I have all my fingers. Just dont get overconfident if you are not skilled at running machinery like this. It will come with time.

I love your videos, and think this video is awesome too... What beautiful work and thanks for sharing! I am concerned though with your choice of wood CA glue listed in your notes. From what I'm reading CA glues are not Food-safe and formaldehyde-based. Were you using that to quickly dry the strips together so you could demonstrate how to make them during the video? Thanks!
@GardeningHomesteadingWoodwork
@GardeningHomesteadingWoodwork Ай бұрын
CA glue was used between tape strips that were taped to the boards - it was used to glue two unsticky sides of the tape together. The same tape was adhered to 2 pieces we wanted to hold together temporarily. CA glue didn't touch the wood. Hope that explains it.
