Thank you so so much for your way of instruction. I've seen a lot of tutorials for "beginners" but they always knot so fast that it is very hard to follow and that is quite demotivating. You even pause the video to show in witch direction to put the rope. Thank you ❤️

I want to make this as a placemat design. Instead of a hoop do you think I could use a crochet hook for attach the macrame cord to a round rope placemat (zigzag stitch the cord to the size I need)? Or do I need to use a hoop?
