Thanks Dave, I was exposed at a fairly young age to lnuit art and how they used to decorate their hunting gear, tools, and domestic stuff to appease the spirits. I liked that, it makes me happy.

I really enjoy watching the piece come together. Your explaining of the carving process has me thinking of some unfinished projects I'm going to dig out again. Not gonna lie I'm probably going to experiment making some of your tool tips as well. Always looking at tool designs.

Thank you very much Uncle Eric!! It took about twenty hours to do that piece. I live in New England and every once in a while you stumble across one in an antique shop, pure luck.

@@StockmanOriginal Thanks for the reply. I've seen bark basket videos before but none with the artistic twist you put in to it. I'm in northern NY near the big park and dabble in black ash packs and baskets. I'm trying to stockpile some some logs and billets before the borer destoys them all. Getting to the age and wondering what I'm going to do when I can't do what I do and enjoy the arts , so I'm going to try to do what I've always wanted to do wheather I can make any money at it or not. Look forward to more of your videos , keep up the great work.

Another amazing video! Thanks! Could you please show the vacuum and how it works? I wanna do something similar, but its either too strong and vacuum other things or not doing anything

Hello Moira, thanks for the feedback. My vacuum system is just a squirrel cage type fan and it seems to do the job pretty good. I have seen other systems that look good too. One being a box with a hardware cloth opening on the top and a vacuum hooked up to the side and you would carve over the top of it. If you go to messenger we could communicate better, it would take a while to get a video up concerning this otherwise.
