Cheers! Sometimes you just find something unexpected that fits very well with the project. I really enjoy integrating some found objects or old/discarded sculpts into new creatures.

Fascinating! I'm looking at making a bunch of beasts of Nurgle, and this is giving me great ideas. It also reminded me that I should pick up more of your sculpts to add to my growing pile!

Nice! Beasts of Nurgle are perfect to sculpt, as they don't need any recognisable human proportions. You can just create whatever you want, as long as it's nasty enough! Please do :)

Great video, thanks for sharing! I love how the sculpt came out, and the multiple head options are great. One way I make fresh clay stick to baked clay is to add a little bit of glue-stick glue to the baked surface. This gives the fresh clay something to grip onto. Just a little bit will do. It doesn't seem to cause any problems during baking.

I think you can put down a layer of petroleum jelly, sculpt polymer clay on top of it, bake it, and it should come apart easy? I've never made minis like this for casting, but I think I've seen that as a solution for making bits that can be sculpted as one piece, then cast separately. IIRC doing that also works for greenstuff.
@wilhelminiatures6905
@wilhelminiatures6905 Жыл бұрын
That sounds like something that can work, and which might be less work than taking a miniature apart before casting. I'll give it a try :)

Not that it really matters but muscles especially with arms look a lot more realistic and more visually interesting if they’re unbalanced, as there is almost never symmetry in muscles. Although the way you did, it works perfectly well too and still looks cool,

@wilhelminiatures6905
@wilhelminiatures6905 3 жыл бұрын
Takk!

Your incredibly talented! I'm kinda tempted with your snail sculpts. If they were more Nurgled up tho, that would be real nice. Fancy sculpting a mega gargant or similar? I think you could pull it off definitely.
@wilhelminiatures6905
@wilhelminiatures6905 3 жыл бұрын
If you get the snails, you can nurgle them up a bit by adding glue and boils as I do with my Nurgle Mechanicus miniatures! Yes, a Mega Gargant would be an interesting challenge. I already have the Giant Forest Dweller in my collection, but having something a little more human-like would be nice to try out.

This is dirt from the plant bed we have outside. It has some small rocks and roots in it, which adds some nice variation to the texture. I use the same technique for most of my miniature projects, so you can see the process in a few of my other videos :)
