Thanks for your effort. You helped me understand the fundamentals far better than the Solidworks Help system. I use Composer for animations but see that some require Solidworks capability and this sets me up to use it where Composer is more trouble than solution.

If the component is constrained with mates, so it will already rotate around its own axis, no. Otherwise you would specify a component to rotate relative to. Hope that helps!

Hi, this is an interesting video. However you didn't explain adding a camera, nor getting the spline into the motion study or attaching the camera to the rail. Do you have a video about that?

I have a model where I can not drag the parts in the same way they have to move. When I use exploded view and animation wizard, I have this problem: When a component has to move twice, in different exploded views, in the seond exploded view, it starts from its initial position. Is there another way, to freely drag components in the motion studies, without constraints?
