Creating Another Multi-Variety Avocado Tree!

I wanted to document the start of this project to graft several varieties of avocado onto 1 tree. I love doing projects like this! The stars aligned here--the season, the scions, the weather, and the tree itself. This tree is the perfect size and age to graft onto, so I was excited to do the project! Hopefully in a few years, this tree will make bountiful amounts of different types of high level avocados. If you want your tree to have many varieties on it, let me know!

I JUST ADDED 6 HASS GRAFTS (Type A) to my 15 foot Bacon Avocado Tree (Type B) 2 weeks ago. I'm hoping half of them take so the tree can pollinate itself

Definitely interested in learning more about the 405 avocado - is it the Stewart avocado? When grafting do you factor in the airflow between the branches, to prevent fungal disease from setting in the future?

Don't know the tree is so close to fence I would do a gem as small tree and slow growing.

I'm also from SoCal! Recently learned to graft from watching a few YT videos including yours (thanks!). Grafted 5 different avocado varieties onto a young planted seedling in early March. It winded and rained like crazy a few days after then blazing hot the following week. I have the grafts covered in paper and plastic bags but I don't think it helped much. Just checked them today and buds on some of the grafts were sad and dry looking. One of them turned a little brownish at the tip.

I have a Kensington pride mango which fruits first, if I graft palmer a later fruit mango will the graft fruit at the same time as the Kensington or fruit later. Thanks
