I dont think that the pacifist stops damage unless it converts a soldier, and then it’s only a percent chance xp

Oh cool, it's like Luck be a Landlord, but you're fighting monsters. Edit: Just beat the game, or at least this beta of it, with basically just the Hellhound portal. Turns out a board full of dogs that all double each other's damage is pretty good.

I can already see Spiff breaking this with goblins and cloning chambers. Because the goblins gain attack if the round did more damage than the previous one, if you had all goblins then every round would do more damage than the last one. Multiple goblins would mean massive damage growth. Idk exactly what the cloning chamber does, but you really just need a mechanism to get nothing but goblins. A full board of them could probably do over a thousand damage in one turn, but it might take a few battles.

An even Spiff-ier exploit that I discovered because my mouse is a bit broken: If you click one of the choices multiple times really fast, you get multiple versions of that things! Basically I clicked an option and got two of that monster... I can totally see Spiff just bringing out his trusty autoclicker and just getting dozens of the same rare monster.

Goblins grow linearly, you need something with exponential growth like the hell hounds or the Araks (or whatever the spiders are callled) to win consistently.

Million Monster Militia has recently moved to steam in a free demo! Looks like some things that were previously really powerful (Hellhounds, lmao) have been balanced a bit better as well! full release set to be coming at some point in the future! I downloaded the demo immediately and wishlisted it, I've had a blast with this game.

I immediately got hooked after seeing this^^ Just managed to beat the game for the first time just now. My army consisted almost entirely of Corgis, I mean Hellhounds, the portal to summon them and a single Demon Hunter. Highest Damage output for a single Hellhound was 1664. I'm really looking forward to the full version!

Am I missing something? It doesn't seem that strong. The chance that it doesn't activate even once in a fight is 63% assuming it is deployed every turn. Now also take into account that it has to activate when the boss is on relatively low hp to do good damage.

@@luukas2660 While that is true, it's effectiveness increases as the max HP of the bosses increases and if the rest of your build is also doing a fair bit of damage then it is likely that when it does trigger it will be devastating. It isn't something I would actually rely on to kill the bosses though. It would be a nice get out of jail card on the higher difficulties due to it's high potential damage though. Those are my thoughts on it at least

@@adenharriman209 Technically the damage is always the same because it's relative to the bosses max hp. It's completely dependent on the rest of your build to do damage in the first place so realistically it only becomes useful once you don't need it.

While i like the almost whimsical nature of the bosses, I feel like it'll drag by the halfway point in the run, because the only change is more hp on the boss vs how much you can keep scaling (or avoiding seemingly trap units like anarchist)

Went and gave the game a go after enjoying watching you play it! Managed to kill the 10th boss three times but the game ends after that it seems, even if the description says 50 bosses....anyone know if I'm doing something wrong, or is that the point they are up to so far? Anyway, have fun everyone!

@@d_p2371 Well, it requires more luck with the options presented to you than actual strategy but, of the 3 times I've done it, one I was using a Beast-focused build with two or three Darrr (a human with a staff that buffs beasts and gets buffed by them) that ends up doing pretty high damage. Second build would be Hell Portal, the sooner you get it the better, and just skip every single choice, just let your deck be filled with Hellhounds and their damage builds up to mental amounts that just melt bosses. The third and final time I was using the HellPortal + Demonhunters (or Demonslayers, the pink dudes that kill demons to buff demons) since your portal spawns infinite fodder for them it ended up dealing pretty high damage as well. But as I said, it requires more luck than strategy, as a general advice I would recommend skipping choices in favor of picking something that you dont really want for your current state of game. @d_ p My winning strategy was built by 4 spiders and a bunch of webbing, I also converted all the humans to soldiers and got the siren which makes all humans do double damage, but when my spiders consistently did up to 200 damage on a good turn... one shot at least 2 of the bosses

I tried the game out and the idea is really cool. But the offered choices were far to random for my enjoyment. E.g. in turn 1 you get the Darrrr (whatever the beast master guy is called) and then proceed to get choices of humans and demons for the next 10 turns. The number of times where I actually got a good synergy together is really low.

Holy crap, this game is so addicting. Amazed that it is free. The creator needs to get a sequel made and throw it up on Steam. Edit: I haven't made it past Diabeet and usually am stomped by the Chonk before I even reach it.

Daily reminder that Tom is an amazing person and to thank him for all he has done/will do - Day 1207 I do enjoy Slot Machine battle games myself, and this is no exception, alot of fun :D I do hope we get to see more as grand time.
