I guess different countries have different laws involving drones. I know here in the USA the FAA has the control over the air space and where you can fly or not fly. If you go to a park or public place and see a sign that says no drones you can’t fly if you’re standing on the property of that park. But you can fly over the park as long as you launch the drone from a location that is not owned by the park. Because park officials don’t have the authority to stop you from flying over it. Just like if you purchased a piece of land you didn’t purchase the air space above the land. And to be honest if you are about 300 feet above the ground nobody’s gonna know you were even flying there especially with the mini series DJI drones they are quite and so small it makes them hard to see at 300 feet in altitude

True but also kinda not the point. I want to open peoples eyes to see how they can use a drone beyond flying it.
@107drones

Not exactly correct. If the park has a NFZ designation, then you cannot fly there even if you launched and landed outside of it. Niagara Falls for example has two countries designating it as a NO FLY ZONE. Frankly, we don't want people to get pissed off with drones. That only ends up with broader restrictions and penalties for those of us who like to fly.

@@107drones If the airspace Is restricted by the Government Authority Such as The FAA in the USA then no you cant fly but if its open airspace and its just a city or county park that says no drones then they cant stop you from flying
@WestVirginiasBigred271
@WestVirginiasBigred271 Жыл бұрын
@@SkyDomeVIZE if you check the before you fly app at least in the USA not sure about any other countries if that app applies or not but in the USA if the FAA has approved the airspace for drone flights and you see a sign at a local park that says no drones state and park officials do not have authority over the airspace. Only the FAA has authority to say that it is restricted airspace or not. Everyone wants control over something. But federal law states who is in control over Usa air space not your City counsel or public park officials. If it shows red meaning restricted airspace then you can’t fly but if it’s a geo zone then you can get authorization to fly. People buy land but not airspace

I've done this on the Camino in Spain (in places where I don't want to disturb or worry pilgrims). The mounting bracket would make it immediately obvious I wasn't going to fly the drone and reassure people around me. Much obliged once again Jake for great advice.

Hi Jake.....I did this a few weeks ago. Set my folded up landing pad on the dash of the car to give my folded up Air 2S a flat surface to sit on. Made a hyperlapse video segment driving down the road. Turned out okay.......

Thanks jake! I feel like this is important now more than ever. I feel like we are getting regulated out of existence. Of course they tried this in Sedona using the non towered control airport as the basis and the faa came in and said nope. So there is hope.

I have used Active Track when not in flight. I havent tried for some time to see if it still works when on the ground. It works on Autel Evo V2, and used to on Air 2S. Several companies make mounts to attach a drone & controller for handheld gimble stabilized shooting. I always considered it a niche use case, but I bet it can allow some great shots-its certainly no weirder than running around with a 3 or 4 meter carbon fiber extension with a smartphone gimbal on it. 😮

Hahahaha agreed! Active track on DJI doesn’t work unless the drone is in flight I believe

Good video, also you can take off from outside the park or wherever it may be. They don't own the airspace so you're free to fly over.

Just outside the restricted zone is the way that I get the location establishing shot. A crane, or tracking reveal past a rock or trees. Virtually the same as being in the park.

Personally, I believe it should be legal to fly up to 50AGL anywhere in the country except right around airports, in protected national parks, etc (unless there's a TFR). I also think it should be legal to fly within 10 feet above any house or non skyscraper building in the US no matter what. Seeing a 0 and being blocked from flying somewhere when you could hold the drone 8 feet above ground level is stupid. No airplane or helicopter will be flying 10 feet over your house unless it's about to crash and that would not be the time to worry about a drone inspecting your gutters.
