I'm so stuck on what to get. I have a A7RV and an A7SIII. I shoot a lot of sports so I want to finally have a high speed camera. I got the A7RV as my A7III was dying and I really like the high resolution which is why I want the A1. But I also really, really don't want to spend that much on a camera that must be getting a successor soon. I'm thinking of getting the A9III and making that my main sports camera with the A7RV as my second camera. Then getting the A1 Mark II as my main and demote the A9III to second camera and retire the A7RV to my portrait only camera. Or I get the A1 then the A1 Mark II and use those as my two sports cameras. I don't know what I'm doing. I did get to try the A9III at the reveal event and I did just try the A1 recently shooting minor league baseball and it was great so I may just go with that. My main concern is having autofocus that still lands me the shots I need when the action gets too crazy to keep up with.

The Air 3 is an enigma. Not great for photography, longer run time, heavier, faster, etc... I have to say that the downsides to the Air 3 really make a decision to move away from the Air 2S difficult. I prefer the Mavic 3 over both but as a secondary I will continue to use the Air 2S. In 2024 they should have given us a 1'' on the Air 3

Does Best Buy in Anchorage sell this unit yet? I have some family there for a couple days, I never bought the cover bag for it, I was going to see if they could get one there for me. Love your content, we live in Fairbanks and it's nice to watch a channel where somebody lives close to me.

I really wanted that 7x.... but I couldn't justify paying over a grand more for it, and went with the Air 3 instead... But man, that looks gorgeous. Are your shots grades, or is that the raw footage?

Hi Jake. Was not able to get to the Live stream this week. Can’t remember if I have asked this before. How to fly a Mavic alongside something static like a cliff face with the camera at an angle. Like a tracking shot at 45 degrees, but where you don’t have a moving subject. I do this a lot with my Inspire 2, by panning the camera. The only cumbersome way I can think of is to use Waypoint and set the camera direction.

Epic scenery will still look epic on a $300 drone versus $3,000. (Pro drones allow more flexibility in the edit). 99% of drone reviews ONLY show epic scenery. The truth is that most people looking to buy a drone will get real bored looking at the top of their house and the rest of their neighborhood REAL quick...and for most people the drone will then collect dust for 360 days a year. Better to let $300 collect dust than $3,000. The beauty is that when you DO go somewhere epic on rare occasion, a $300 will slay. That's why Mini 4K is an absolute no-brainer.

Hey Jake, We wanted to share some insights on why filters for the Pocket 3 should not be too thin. A. Handling: The current size of Pocket 3 ND filters is already challenging to handle, especially for those with bigger hands. Making these filters thinner would make them even harder to grip and manage. B. Reflection Issues: In our testing with thinner versions of these filters, particularly the ND/PL type, we noticed unwanted reflections under white light. This is an issue that some other brands, who have opted for thinner filters. C. Gimbal Safety: DJI's own ND filters for the Pocket 3 are designed not to close completely. This is intentional to prevent potential damage to the gimbal. If the filter shifts, it could lock up the gimbal, risking permanent damage. Given DJI's ongoing firmware updates, it's often safer to adhere to their design considerations when creating compatible filters. D. Gimbal Movement: Even when the gimbal is locked or unlocked, the case provided by DJI allows for some movement. This indicates that DJI has taken these factors into account in their design. I hope these points help in understanding the design choices for the Pocket 3 filters. Thanks, Freewell Team

Lucky to be a drone flyer in Canada. Sub 250g drones no registration, no test, no height, vlos, airspace(except class F) or flying over people or cars restrictions. Super lucky to have the freedom we do with micro drones. Can literally fly anywhere. Only must to follow is dont be dumb and use good judgement.

What advantage is there to buying a "learner drone" other than the price? If somebody only wants to fly occasionally or has no intention of ever using a drone for business it makes sense to buy this for a hobbyist. I get that. But why would somebody who ultimately wants to use a drone for business need to buy this thing to learn on first. I'm not saying that's not valid, I'm just asking why it's valid. If I intend to use a Mavic 3 Pro for business, why not just buy that one to start with, be super careful with it & learn that to start with?
@JakeSloan6 күн бұрын
If someone intends to use a drone for business, then I would recommend getting the air three or Mavic three. This drone is great for beginners and people who just want to film themselves or their family having fun traveling.

I would highly recommend the Mini 4 pro if $ isnt a problem. it has fantastic tracking and obstacle avoidance but still is under 249g so you don't have to worry about registering it
