I received installation drawings (required by my building inspector) as signed and stamped by a P.Eng in Ontario. If using the company's aluminum posts to support the 36 inch wide privacy screen, I must install 6 * 6 SPF - Pressure Treated blocking directly under the deck boards. The blocking is secured to the joists with 6 inch structural screws then I use 6 inch structural screws to attach the post to the blocking through the deck.

Great privacy wall! Is wind load handled by the way the railing ties into that one post? Or can this stand up to expected gusts on its own?
