Yes they won. It’s a non singing reveal. The last song was winner + judge, Jewell in this case. VoicePlay was also in this same season of the Sing-off but were sent off earlier. The Sing-off tour did have a part where both Home Free and VoicePlay were featured. They did Zombies vs. Hillbillies together. It is short but funny. There is also a beatboxing trio with Adam, Layne and the guy from the Filharmonics. I like that one. Thanks for your reaction

Chris Rupp did the arrangement for Merry Little Christmas. He got many compliments (off-camera) from the judges for his jazzy arrangement.

"I Want Crazy" was my favorite song from their Sing Off performances. The harmonies, high and low notes were fantastic. So much talent in one group should be a sin. But glad it's not. Of course they won, hands down.👍

Rob’s voice, and now Chance’s, are the 2 that pull me into a song. Not that I don’t love them all. For more Rob “Never Gonna Give You Up”, “Blue Ain’t Your Color “, “Go Rest High On that Mountain “, and an overlooked gem of HF at the Hosanna concert in 2013 singing “Joy to the World “. It’s has a ‘70’s R&B feel, also a jazz influence. Rob is in full gospel mode. I absolutely love it… and we’re in the season. For Chance “ I Can’t Outrun You “…5 part harmony. For Tim “Champagne Taste (on a beer budget), and he wrote it…”Do You Hear What I Hear”, Adam arrangement. Also, they did an official video of “Colder Weather “ with Rob leading off after Chance joined.

You seem to have seasonal exclamations! It went from Buiscuts to Sugarplums in this one! Lol! Love it! That judge that sang with them was Jewel and she's a country artist. When there were the last 3 groups left in the running, each group got to sing with a judge and Home Free got Jewel, and it really came out nice during the Christmas season. THEY DID WIN!!!

I was impressed with HF throughout this competition, but it was their back-up session with Ms.Jewel that sold me, and told me that they could do far more than C/W covers.

Chris Rupp has admitted that they were all smitten with Jewel! In the series History of Home Free, they have reached the Sing Off, and it's quite an eye-opener. It's surprising that Austin's voice survived, and it's a testament to his teachers that it did - the producers wanted them rehearsing 24/7 for almost 2 weeks and were so excited by Austin's high notes that they kept asking him to do them over and over. They didn't even provide a voice coach to help the voices along. It was Jewel who told Austin to own his high notes and just let rip with them, with the results that can be seen in "I Want Crazy". The History of Home Free is very entertaining, with Chris Rupp looking back over the 20 years of the band, in conversation with other members. Austin does a brilliant impression of a female TV producer with a Vision.

They won! In Jewel's reaction to Pretty Woman she told Austin that had "those high notes in spades" and she really wanted to hear him go for it. And his response was his lead in I Want Crazy. She loved it.

I really recommend there cover of Moonshine by Foy Vance. I think it’s one of their more underrated songs and the harmonies in it are just perfect. Also their recent cover of Crazy by Patsy Cline is one you should listen to as well.

That was the first time I had heard Jewel sing not being a country fan at the time I did not know who she was but man the girl pulled out all the stops for that one she proved her chops to judge for me.

I can't remember their username but someone said you should react to Adam Rupp's drum solo during their live performances. That video reminds us that Adam Rupp is a two time world champion beatboxer. Also you hinted that you wanted to hear more of Rob singing more vulnerable stuff. He doesn't sing lead often, but its memorable when he does. Their original song 'Why Not' is upbeat but up that ally in my opinion. Then there are their covers of 'Blue Aint Your Color' and 'Broken Road'. He shares the lead with others in that one but holds the lead for quite a while.

I really liked these two reaction video’s! I thought the reactions of the judges were hilarious, so I recomend to watch the complete video’s sometime. Love from the Netherlands!

They did one song during Season 5 with all of the judges (and the host) from that season, "Stand By Me." I'd say it's worth a watch.

What wasn't in this collection was the Sing-Off they did against VoicePlay (Home Free won). The final show that season also featured Pentatonix, who had won in Season 3. For the final show, all the contestants for the season were back, so Pentatonix, VoicePlay, and Home Free were in one building.

Since you mentioned that you enjoy Christmas music, let me suggest you do HF's version of Do You Hear What I Hear. It is both a vocal and visual wonder that was arranged by the beatboxer Adam Rupp. Prepare to be blown away.

There's another part to this episode where all the groups performed their finale numbers [including the eliminated groups which include VoicePlay and Filharmonic] then the final three; Home Free, TEN and Vocal Rush waited for the announcement of winners. Yes, they won. Voiceplay were on the same series but went out just before this as they hadn't quite reached their best at this time and had a 'soul' type female vocalist that wasn't really their style. As we found out shortly after, and the rest is history.

Loved this! They have progressed so much since this that it's amazing. They keep developing as a group. I love, love Rob's voice, and l know exactly what you mea in your description of it, it's so smooth. His voice is a pair of safe hands. Apologies for the mixed metaphor. Thanks for doing this.

So glad you did the Sing Off with the guys. Winning the sing off I think grounded them with their music. I have watched the sing off so many times, cause it is just amazing watching them and the judges comments. They are an amazing group of men. I know this has been mentioned Tracy Z... the Sing off Tour with Home Free, VoicePlay and Filharmonic is a lot of fun. The Zombies vs Hillbillies...and beatbox contest between Adam, Layne and Niko was cool. Thanks for really great reactions.

Um....these 2 parts are NOT in the order of the performances on the show. I'm thinking whoever did it, bunched majority of the up tempo songs on one & the slower on the other. This was intended to air during the winter holidays (starting around Thanksgiving & then right before Christmas). The first part where the Filharmonic (they've been featured on Corden's show whenever he did a sing-off with a guest singer on the show.) & Home Free battled was the end & Home Free won was chosen the winner. The Ring Of Fire was their very last individual song before the battle. I can't recall, but I thought 'Life is a Highway' was their very first song. Jewel & the other judges similar to The Voice performed with particular a capella groups for the Christmas songs. I can't remember (it's been a while) if song before the announcement of winners. May I suggest when you have some time, to watch the actual Sing-Off. It will give you insight into it all. The judges were extremely knowledgeable & offered suggestions. There was individual group moments they talked about their existing life in the group & how they were approaching songs. I truly think would appreciate that. Another criticism, is that although I loved the judges, I wanted input from the audience. I wished there was able to be some form of participation. Tidbit: All the groups had to prepare a battle song with a competing group. There's a video out that shows VoicePlay & Home Free doing 'I'm a Survivor' as hillbillies (Home Free) vs. Zombies (VoicePlay). They never did it on the show (Home Free was never at the bottom) but on tour & did a video.

Strange you loved Rob in colder weather that's the one the judges said he was off on. Thoughts were it was cause they wanted Tim or Austin on lead for it.

I think by listening to just the compilation of the songs you missed a lot. Please for yourself go back and listen to each song in its own video. There are a lot of funny moments you have missed, in the side stories leading up to each performance (the mermaid, the gunfight at the OK coral, the cornfield...) Plus the judges fun comments as well. So please on your own (if you wish) go back and see what you have missed.

Not sure if anyone mentioned this but the producers told Home Free that they didn't want Rob singing the lead ummmmm WHAT!!!! Home Free told them that Rob would be singing the lead and the producers said well it could cost you the win. I guess, so be it. I like how they don't back down from things that they believe in and want to do.

I somewhat understand doing all of them ......... sorta. You don't "learn" anything about HF that way, so nothing was had ---- and it was said that ya wanna learn more about 'em. The "talk", judges comments make the show ........... But WHY??? Do appreciate the thought here ... but, the intent (by most of us) was missed, especially the progression (which was the most significant of all). Worried about time on these??? Nah, we've even sit through ALL individual performances ... and really enjoyed it watching the reactions.... It's done now, moving on to the next
