Love the blue colour. Not so good to use the edge of the wheel if you have a few drills to do. It would be nice to be able to cool the drill in liquid if it gets hot. Very lovely video all the same.

С использованием такого принципа поворота теоретически затыловка отсутствует. Неудачный ракурс для заточенного сверла не позволяет увидеть это. Но результат сверления, когда металл крошится, а не снимается стружкой, косвенно подтверждает этот вывод.

Нормальная заточка. Так же можно качать сверло вертикально. Накой хрен спиральным свёрлам с такой геометрией режущей части нужна затыловка(это не так называется!) ???

Нужно державку с другой стороны привернуть через гайку . тогда будет нормальная затыловка

@@kotleta4634 без "затыловки" в 8-12 градусов сверло будет не резать, а "гладить" металл.

There is one more complicated type to make but it works better(you can adjust all angles and even grind a split point) and that is Lisle grinder.Abom and mr pete have dissasembled one and you can find pictures in manuals. But you need advanced machines for it like lathe and milling machine.Still it would be cool to see one built for bench grinder.

Wow, nice video, but home made? That's quite the machine shop and processing. The inclinometer was a cool touch. I suspect that building this is well beyond most home shops.

good mechanical work, but I see that many special tools are necessary for the construction of the device. I'm sure it's better to learn how to sharpen drill bits by hand. You can also purchase the drill bit sharpener for little money.

Grinding wheels are made to be used on the side of the wheel. Other than that, nice set up.

Yeah go ahead,grind on the side of a bench grinder removing tons of material and when that wheel hits you between the eyes - do not blame me!

The sharpened drill struggles to drill and the chips formed are incorrect. A correctly sharpened drill will give curly chips when drilling.

Ten čap na ktorom sa robí pohyb pri brúsenie má mať sklon. Vrták na tom to prípravku je zle nabruseny, nevrtá, frezuje.

ever have a grinding wheel blow up in your face? well, keep grinding on the side of the wheel like that and you'll find out how unpleasant it is when they blow up and shatter... they sound louder than a 12 guage shotgun going off...

Mmmm, I was thinking the same thing. The more drill bits you have to sharpen, the more you are doing the wrong thing. So a bit of a shame in this regard.

Mauvais affutage, les copeaux le prouvent. De plus, il ne coupe que sur une lèvre. L'affutage sur le coté de la meule est dangereux avec une meule non adaptée et c'est le cas. L'angle le plus important, hormis la symétrie, est la dépouille (2° pour l'acier) L'angle de 120° n'est utile que pour limiter l'usure du foret et est surtout valable dans l'industrie, en utilisation amateur c'est accessoire, 85 à 120° sont recommandable.

Please do not sharpen your bits like this as you will damage the integrity of the grinding wheel and centrifugal forces will make it fracture and if it breaks whilst you are in front of it the wheel will injure you. not worth the risk sorry
