We have a premature Borne Upon a Wind at 1:00:10. The way it worked out, our opponent could have floated a green with Deathrite Shaman and drew 6 cards with Yawgmoth to find either of their Boseijus. Responding to Deathrite activation plays around this.

Honestly banning anything in timeless is the wrong move. I know they mentioned banning and restricting were possibilities but the whole point of the format is to play with ALL cards. Formats like timeless should just be aggressively maintained by adding cards, not banning cards. At the end of the day, omnitell is 3 mana sorcery splinter twin. In a format like modern SnT is def an issue but I don’t think it’s a problem for a vintage like format like Timeless. Now if they only relied on standard cards to fuel the format then I’d say yea SnT should probably be banned and not restricted but banning cards in THIS format is dumb and defeats the purpose.

Thoughts on Seasons Past in the sideboard as a Mastermind's Acquisition fetch? If you have any card in your graveyard that "draws" you cards (e.g. Brainstorm, Borne, Tutor, Assemble, Lorien, Dig, etc.), you can draw your deck with Seasons Past and thus guarantee the win. The specific line would be as follows: Mastermind's fetch Seasons. Demonstrate the following loop: Cast Seasons, returning Borne + Mastermind's to hand. Cast Borne, drawing a card. Cast Mastermind's, searching your library for Seasons. You're now back at the beginning of the loop, with the only difference being that you've drawn a card. Of course if you have Dig, Atraxa, Assemble, or Tutor in your yard, instead of doing the loop, you can just use Mastermind's to fetch Approach and win that way.

I've been playing with Seasons Past, and it's deterministic even without another piece, so long as you have Demonic Tutor in your hand, graveyard, or library. Mastermind's Acquisition for Seasons Past. Seasons Past for Mastermind's Acquisition. Mastermind's Acquisition for Demonic Tutor. Demonic Tutor for Seasons Past. Seasons Past for Demonic Tutor + Mastermind's Acquisition. This way, we loop Demonic Tutor and Seasons Past, and Mastermind's Acquisition can get whatever we want in library or sideboard in each iteration.

Game freezes and Arne's first reaction is the help the opponent to make sure they know how to cast a delve spell. This is Reid Duke-level wholesomeness. Come to think of it, they are also both unreasonably good players. Has anyone ever seen them in the same room at the same time?

Best deck timeless ever and not restricted on 11-03-24. Fine tuning against mirror to add, like Hullbreaker and tax cards.

2:41:06 even if the veil of summer was cast, why did the dig through time looked like it got countered? did it have to do something with logging back in after getting DC'd?

The DTT wasn't countered, but the rest of the text on Test of Talents still applies. The "Search it's controllers hand, library, graveyard..." etc happens regardless if the spell is countered or not.

It's an easier to accomplish victory with Show and Tell against hate out of Decks like Yawgmoth and Winota. Just put it on "Creature" and they have a hard time winning.

lol not so happy now with show n tell got knocked out must be broken lol show n tell is a tier 2 deck there’s so many better decks that are more consistent that win turn 3 or 4 show n tell isn’t that special or broken it’s like 10 card combo lol

@@spicymchaggis6581 Who cares about Bo1 when talking about competitive scene or bannings? Like in 30 years of mtg, not a single official tournament have been played in Bo1. Enjoy Bo1? Keep playing it! But please don't call for what is good, bad or should be banned.

Tournament players represent a tiny minority of the playerbase. Even if that’s where the hype is, choosing not to cater to Bo1 players just because it isn’t a tournament format is the wrong call. This deck dominates in Bo1 at an absurd level, and for why people might choose not to play Bo3 - some people enjoy Bo1 more, some people don’t enjoy sideboarding, and some people don’t have time for Bo3 matches

S&T isn't the best deck right now, I agree, but it's 100% a T1 deck. It's only *not* T0 because everyone everywhere is maindecking hate for it. That's pretty much the definition of a broken deck
