I think it’s really good for Creed. The way they’ve been dampening their scents and expecting people to pay premium prices, nah, this is good for them. Maybe they’ll get back to where they should be.

Although it was probably already lightweight apparent, Jeremy fragrance did a good job exposing the actual production costs of fragrances from start to finish

You have to take into account that the UK and Europe are in recession now and sales of luxury non- essential items like higher-end fragrances are likely to get hit hardest by this. As a result, brands like Creed and Tom Ford would have to resort to less than ideal practices for their brand image (like selling in discount stores) to navigate through this tricky economic period.

A funny thing to do (as a joke) is the next time you are with Aaron (ATH) show him a bottle of his fragrance and tell him that you found it for a ridiculously low price at TKMaxx. I would love to see hos reaction ... lol.

I’ve set my limit on fragrances at £120, though my average is £60-£70 with discount. Currently have 40+ going to use what I have and roll it back to 10. Personally I’ve lost 4 stone in 18months and get more female attention now, than when I was wearing creed aventus. Still like exploring fragrances, but now I just see it as the cherry on top, don’t get me wrong I love dress smart casual. But looking after your health and physique is far better.

I did splash out a few months ago and bought 50mls of Tobacco Vanille and Noir de Noir at full retail. But as others have said Perfume Parlour is extremely similar so I mainly get ones I like the look of from there now.

There was a time when there were far fewer fragrance houses and far fewer releases each year (how many did Tom Ford crank out last year?) ... back then fragrances had more of an exclusivity and seeing them in a 'rack store' was inconceivable (lets face it rack stores and online discounters didn't exist) ... now with soooo many houses and soooo many releases each year the luster has worn off of some of these houses.

I’ve been buying Creed fragrances for about 20 years now and I remember there was a time you could not get Creed to buy online except via a Creed store or a selected few designated online stores that typically sell high end products.

What Creed, Tom Ford, and other luxury brands have done with their retail prices here in the states has already made me sour on them. 50ml bottle of GIT, MI, SMW etc. are $345 which converted from USD to GBP is about £283.

Noticed Creed Viking at my local store in London. Looked very strange hanging there, next to CKIN2U & Versace Blue Jeans lol. I've only ever purchased one fragrance from TK Maxx, which was a blind buy of Lalique's Encre Noire 100ml, for £12.99. Not bad at all.

I don't think it makes any difference as long as I get my fragrances cheaper. I am more than happy to spend 40 or 50 quid on Notino or All Beauty than paying 90 quid from a designer's website, or Selfridges or Harrods. This would apply to my niche fragrances too... I have never had that high an opinion of Creed's story in any case, I think most of its BS. They make excellent fragrances but I think all fragrances are pretty much overpriced at retail, including Creed etc.

The Joke is on people that pay crazy prices for fragrances that will last one hour and can easily be replaced by better quality and far more affordable ones, people just like to say they own a Tom Ford Fragrance😅

Being in the US, I'm now wondering if TJ Maxx (likely the US sister to TK Maxx) might have some similar stock. As much as I don't care for that store, I'm now going to have to go check it out!
