Every time I can fish a new creek I get excited to see whats in there. This creek is pretty shallow but has a good solid rock bottom, Also it was on public land at a park.

Big Blue!! Nice looking creek in Nashville, probably worth a spring visit. Had one dandy with a handful of fun sized ones. And the ultralight lures always attract the sunfish and others...surprised no rock bass. Solid brother man

It seems to have a cure for any ailment or bad mood, and at the same time makes a great day or mood even better. Nashville Creek Fishing Supper Cool! I grew up where you are fishing (south of Nashville). I walked so many of these creeks catching mostly Large Mouth & War Eyes and they are awesome creeks indeed! Like you, I only fish them with plastics "now" but back then my buddy and I would throw a cast net on minnows. We used those yellow & white trap door floating minnow buckets tied to a string to our belts. We'd run a tinny golden hook through the roof of their mouth out a nostril. No weight, when they hit the water they went Bass-Mode trying to throw that hook out of their mouth. If we didn't get a strike in 5 seconds (and see the whole attack happen / clear water) there was nothing there, pick it up and cast again. We'd catch a fish every second or third cast (it was like cheating LOL)! Yes indeed there are 6 pounders in these little creeks! Someone here mentioned you live in this area, there are some small creeks within an hours drive East that get stocked with trout if your so inclined. I am currently mapping via motorcycle day trips - GPX locations - of access points to creeks about an hour or two south of Nashville. Let me know if your interested and I'll get these tracks to you ..... PRETTY COOL CHANNEL BROTHER!!!!!

We're you fishing Mill Creek by any chance? If you want some great Smallmouth and Spotted Bass fishing, go I-40 just west of Nashville and fish the Duck river as well as the Harpeth River. Great fishing, both are wadeable and great for drift/ kayak fishing. Further out I-40 you'll find the Buffalo river...., another blast to fish in.

@@frankbrooks1983 shoot yeah bro. The hellgrammite changed the game for me. Everyone around here fishes with 4 in lizards or baby brush hogs. We've got some good creeks this way man. I've got access to some of the best stretches of creek in this area luckily.

Man that’s a good spot on that creek. There’s another spot not far down from there where I’ve caught a couple real nice smallies. Might hit a spot on that creek after work today.

@@corbums3927 hey thanks. Drakes is one of my favorites. That's 3 mins from my house and I've caught my most bass in shortest time there. 7 in about an hour. Even caught really nice smallmouth there. Drakes in hendersonville and Drakes in Franklin ky are great. Only tried mansker once. Will definitely try again. Its real pretty and NO ONE there. Not a single person
