My best fishing was on small untouched creeks catching steelhead in 2 foot deep water or less. We always Catch and release. If we did keep fish it was the smaller ones. Best childhood memories were on small creeks still to this day I take my son on them and teach him to respect them and not to think theres not enough water to hold monsters cause there is.

It’s true, fish are everywhere. I remember “Many” yrs past when I was in Italy, I was goofing around and fished in a ground level fountain that had been abandoned for at least a decade and caught what would be about like a creek chub. None were more surprised than me! No idea how they got there. I absolutely loved the last part of this video. I could watch for hours, so peaceful. Those lil boogers are curious! I agree with you about spreading Gods word. This was one of those times that someone needed that word and it’s me. We all need those words in these trying times. God bless us all.

Sometimes fish eggs get stuck to Pond birds legs and they are transported to other waters. Maybe that's what happened ?

First of all it is amazing how many fish were in in that small ditch. Secondly I cant count the times I have driven past that spot and never thought about fish in it. But most of all how the fish seemed to be attracted to the camera. People are attracted to the word of God if we are not ashamed to share it with them . Just put it out there and they will show up .

There is a pond I fish that has been drained many times over the years for dam repairs. The pond is dry for months during repairs. Yet the next year there are full grown largemouth in it. 3 and 4 pounds plus. There is only a tiny feeder creek that originates from another lake a few miles away. I wonder if with the falling water the bass know to head upstream by instinct?

I have a small creek that runs through my property & it's fun to take my girls & let em catch a few sunfish. Great to hear you talk about fishing for men! God is good!

Throw a piece of cut bait in there at nighttime on a 4/0-6/0 circle hook..... you might catch a 20 lbs channel cat. Ur little creek might hold a few monsters...... I caught the biggest fish of my life in a tiny tiny creek. Took a fast picture and let him go. This catfish was not what I was expecting. Same with Gar and steelhead in tiny creeks. I always release though so I dont wipe out the small populations of fish in the creeks.

Happy to see an angler excited when catching fish of all sizes. That's what it's all about. I primary trout fish in northeastern Iowa but Covid has altered that for this year. However, been getting reacquainted with bass fishing in ponds and lakes like I did 50 years ago with my dad. Love your videos, fish on and stay safe.

Thank you for the "How to" theme brother. I now live a mile away from where our baseball league had their annual picnics. A friend and me would bring worms in a small coffee can and fish the feeder creeks and culverts while others did the sack races. We wrapped fishing line around pens, added #8 hooks and a split shot. It was great to walk and wade as an adult. We got and still get the strange looks from hikers. Fish anywhere and everywhere. And to another's point it's all forest preserve land. Continue being a good witness...take only memories and leave only footprints I was told. I'd also add Leave it better than you found it too. Only takes a few seconds to pick up some trash.

When I was a kid about 70 years ago, my Mamaw loved fresh perch and white bass. I would go fish the two little creeks near her home with deep pools and full of fish. In an hour I'd have a mess. I'd take'em back an clean'em and she'd cook'em. A fond memory...

About 55 - 60 years ago, I found some fish and had some fun fishing with a hand line down in a manhole that was near the Calumet River in NW Indiana..... sadly, the river was polluted from Dupont and no fish, but I did trap some muskrats. It's amazing how fish are just about everywhere there's water. I'm a new subscriber here, so I'll be back..... Thanks and Blessings!

John's videos strike a chord with people. I went years saying- " I gotta start fishing again". But never did. I regret the wasted time. John motivated me to fish again. Once I went once it was like crazy. Now I am going all the time. To all different spots.

I absolutely love fishing like this. I think for me it's just seeing what I catch and looking at their beautiful colors. It seems like creek sunfish are the prettiest. Here in North Alabama we're blessed with an abundance of streams and ditches. I fish them every chance I get.

You are a legend, keep it up! I love fishing in spots like this! There is something about it, just the tranquility of it, well maybe not by the highway but still its just you out there fishing no one else not like an over crowded lake. I haven't fished a lake in so long I probably forgot how just because I prefer the peacefulness of creeks and other places people don't normally fish!

Those are some of the best spots to fish. That is me fishing almost every puddle or ditch I can find here in Houston,Texas.I have pulled out some two and three pound bass from them

One of the best experiences I ever had fishing was in a "ditch" about five feet wider than this one, with a creek running through it. It's a little widening of Powdermill Brook in Westfield MA, and it was full of rainbow trout that had been stocked further downstream, but swam upstream to just below the outflow beneath a dike. They hit my Rapala 2" stick bait over and over again. It was good fishing and they were good eating.

Always like to fish the little feeder creeks that flow into trout streams in north Georgia. There are often BIG trout in those little creeks.

This was really cool to watch. I enjoyed the underwater camera footage. Some of those fish were giving the camera the stink eye and others were kind of sneaking up on it and only risking one eye from a distance. It was a little murky but that made it cool to watch them kind of appear out of the fog. Great 👍 Happy fishing and may you and your family have a very nice and blessed Thanksgiving. 💒🍗🙏🐟🐠

Me and a friend once were fishing a itty bitty little pond by the side of the road in a farmers field, people drove by and yelled laughing at us, "there is nothing in that puddle". What they did not know was that little itty bitty farm pond was deep and old, spring in the bottom and full of little bait fish. We caught a 8 pound catfish and I had a largemouth within grabbing distance before he shook the hook that was 5 pounds I would guess. Planted I assume many years ago but no one ever fished it so they just kept growing.

Like your style dude, small stream fishing is getting very popular here in England, lots of people have had enough of purpose made fisheries and getting back to nature
