There is quite a network of mountain bike trails in this area between Barrie and Orillia, and this one looks like a lot of fun. I hiked the trail, not really trusting myself on a bike across bridges and narrow hilly trails, and it was very enjoyable.
The trail is 9 km long, and I hiked 6 km where the trail conveniently returned to the parking lot before heading off on the final 3 km. It's a twisty, curvy narrow trail with lots of boardwalks, bridges, and elevation changes.
I parked near the SCMBC Trail Head on Bass Lake Side Rd E. There is another parking lot just a little east of the trail head parking. It is called New Parking Lot, Bass Lake Side Road.
