When you are in the back kitchen handling things from hot ovens to sharp knives, Yes gloves are occasionally it is dangerous when your sensory skills are also reduced by a glove. Yes, people do use gloves in the kitchen, but usually it is because they want to avoid directly touching objects or they have a cut on their hand. For example, marinating meat or they wanted to avoid getting their blood all over the food. Who says "looking professional" would help? Last time I went to a restaurant, this lady was wearing gloves, great right? Yea, especially when she took out the trash, used the same gloves to take the money, AND the same gloves to serve us food. In the video, this isn't even a street vendor or anything, how do you know this is "street food"? This could be a restaurant in the mall for all you know. If they clean their hands, then what does it matter? Just because the outer appearance is a bit different, it does not mean the kitchen runs differently.
