@5:22, it is written many times in the book and they even have a discussion about how the fae believe their very body chemistry changes so that they don't have distinct smells anymore. Ruhn recognizes them as mates, and let's not forget that in book 1, Bryce made Hunt apology soup, so, yeah, in the Book of Maas, they're super definitely confirmed mates. THIS IS CANON!! NO TAKESIES BACKSIES!!!

Wait I just realized something when listening to this... I completely forgot about the fact that there were twins with psychic abilities in CC too!!! Anyone remembers whether in ACOWAR the siblings who come to the spring court from Hybern are twins too? Also Fenrys and his twin in ToG who both shared the power to teleport! Does that mean that every twins in her books always share the same power? With her that can't just be a coincidence, I'm sure she's going to make it have a whole new importance eventually 😮

Okay… I have a theory and none of my friends have read this so I’m sharing it here bc I need to get it out before I lose my mind… I think Amren is the 7th Asteri that they claimed is dead.. @51:54 ME TOO!!!!! I honestly don't even care how it comes to play out, I just don't like it!!! I don't like it story-wise, I thought it took away from all the other plots, I thought it was doing Ithan's character a disservice, I thought it was juvenile, and I hate that Bryce doesn't have any just male friends. Everyone wants to marry Bryce, I mean, come on!

OK biggest plot hole in my mind is why does Bryce have starborn power? The king isn't from that line & ember is human. How does she have it?

I think it’s hard to figure that out, given how much cross breeding has occurred in Midgard. But honestly Bryce’s power feels really similar to Aelin’s in some ways? Idk there are two many loose ends at this point for me to even begin to figure it all out 😂

Okay.. I have not read the book, and I'm glad I didn't. Sounds like a really bad soap opera, which is so unexpected coming from SJM! I'm secretly hoping it will all make sense thanks to book 3 but there are just so many weird, random things happening in CC2 I have a hard time believing it would.. anyway, Lindsey, you did a great job with this summary!
