If you ever try something like this again, try looking at the sculptable foam. I know cosplayers like kamui cosplay have used it before. You would probably be able to skip the silicon completely

The only problem with sculptable foam is that it isn't very flexible so it would only work in areas where there isn't a lot of movement. Sculptable foam had some awesome uses though, I used it to cover my prosthetic leg to give it a more realistic shape.

as a big purple fan I'm surprised by how much I love the orange! I voted for purple on instagram but the orange came out really fun and i love the contrast with the red. i think i might like the orange more but they're both SO fun! I think these and your belle shoes have been some of my favorite projects of yours over the last couple years :)

It's incredibly frustrating when projects go upside-down-turtle so major kudos to you for persisting and ending up with TWO really cool pairs of octopus shoes! On another note, I love your strawberry socks. The one sock's "scar" doesn't affect how it wears so that's something.

omg so cute, i liked them both about the same honestly. the purples i feel like i would wear more, but i also appreciate the warm colors of the other, and i really like the gradient/combo colors. makes me wonder what purple/teal would have looked like. this was super awesome, thank you!!!

It's lovely seeing the butterflies on your wall and made into earrings from your Hunger Games dress! P.S. Monarchs are at risk! If you have the opportunity to plant milkweed that is native to your region, do so! There's a company that if you mail them a self-addressed envelope with postage attached, they will send you back the appropriate seeds for your area at no additional cost.

So creative, I love the ingenuity of attaching the tentacles to tights, it looks seamless, like they are actually stuck to your leg. Personally I prefer the orange, which is not to say that the purple doesn't also look cool ^_^

if you ever wanna sculpt again for a project, I heavily suggest Milliput! It's a type of clay that, once it hardens, it'll be rock hard! You'll get two tubes of it, you have to mix these two different clays of Milliput together, two equal sized blobs, once they are molded together they should be one color instead of two colors, no streaks, spots, etc, then you can start using it! It's best for smaller objects though as once they're molded together it'll start hardening, it hardens in three to four hours, highly suggest this stuff, I use it a lot and it's really nice!

Oh my gosh- thanks to you I know if I ever wanted to make anything with silicone, I'd research it to the ends of the earth before I began! I didn't even know there are like a zillion different kinds - but of course there are! You live, you learn hehe I'm Sure the other mould would be usable for something - like a bag, or a dress, or head something ohh or arm band etc! Xxxx So much work, but each thing you do you get better at it and have more knowledge for the next thing! That's so interesting the painting the layers of silicone on to make the mould - it worked super well!!! I was thinking that if you laid it flat to do that it wouldn't work but it's amazing! And ingenuous, INGENIOUS with the attaching it on to the tights! I never would have thought of that in a million years! I wouldn't have thought tights would be strong enough ! It looks SO GOOD 💖💗💕🐙🐙 I Actually love the peach/red octopus, the tips of different colour give the illusion of movement and grip and that it's gripping on and holding on and wrapping itself around your leg, and pulling you towards itself!!!! The purple is super cute too- now you can have a choice for dress up or cosplay purposes which you want to wear based on the colour!!!! Love xxxxx

Item idea: Shoes of the deep: While the octopus is part of the shoe you have a swim speed of 15ft and can breathe underwater or As an action you can detach the octopi from both shoes, they become familiars for one hour. If they die while not attached they are teleported back to the shoe and cannot be re-used until you finish a long rest

I love both of those so much, they're both amazing, but if i had to pick, i'd pick the orange/red ones, they're very expressive and just pretty to look at, but as you said the purple ones have a more Ursula vibe to them, overall, these were amazing! Keep up the great work!
