"The Pro-LITE(tm) 2.0 power amplifier features an incredibly lightweight, efficient design with high power and stable performance. The Crest Audio Pro-LITE 2.0 amplifier is designed with an advanced, high-speed class D design with a switch-mode power supply that reduces weight while increasing reliability, thermal efficiency and output power in parallel, stereo and bridged modes. These Crest amps are super well-done and underrated. I have used the CC2800 in an install, and I've used the Pro-200 series at a past job, and they were all rock solid. The Crest Pro-Lite series looks more solid than the Peavey IPR, and some teardowns have shown them to be similar but not the same - the Crest amps are better built and use better components throughout. And the Crest amp won't get you any funny looks - the name is well known, and Peavey seems intent on keeping it that way.

Nice review. Digital amps will become the norm for all manufacturers I would imagine. Their high power ouput and manufacturing costs must surely be attractive to all manufacturers nowadays. I recall when the first digital amps came out a few years ago they were serious money to buy but I also guess that prices will come down.

I have the Crest audio cc 1800 amplifier it'awesome :) I work with Peavey PV115 and that amplifier is very good for this speakers :)

I can't fully answer your questions. I am not using this amp for PA, it is for background music at a restaurant. Right now I have only a 2.66 ohm load on both channels, later this week I will add one more speaker to bring one channel down to 2 ohms. I don't know how it compares to a Peavey IPR 1600, however I imagine that it is more robust, as it has been designed to be a touring grade amplifier.

What does flashing lights indicate ?? I’ve got good Moving air through the rack but lights flash while speakers response to LED lighting ?

Flashing lights on the front of the amplifier? That generally means you have signal coming into the amp.

the only good class d pro amps on the market... they actually rate their stuff from 20 - 20khz unlike crown Behringer Yamaha that rate their stuff at 1khz... pretty much the Peavey IPR and the crest prolite stuff are similar in construction except the prolite amplifiers have better designed power supplies and have more capacitance..

@@therockstudio np, all ill say is even though thats the smallest prolight, its no slouch, i seen in a comment you are just using it for background stuff, that amp should last 20 years or more under those conditions, in fact id say the crest stuff is pretty close to qsc's power amps in terms of quality. Before ya put it in there for background music for the rest of its life you should hook it up to two huge 4 ohm cabs in parallel on each channel and give it all shes got 😂👌🏻 good luck with the amp.
