Got to meet Benny that day, it was a treat to see him racing at my home track. He and his father where very nice to chat with. Hopefully he'll be able come back when the new track is up and running.

Bandimere is closing, but they're building a new version, I'm not sure where exactly, but they will reopen, 👍🏻👍🏻🇦🇺🇦🇺🦘🦘Cheers from Melbourne Australia

If you get to go to one NHRA Nationals event make it Bandimere, the vibration and sound bouncing off the hills when the Nitro cars runs! Do at least one practice run near the start line! Not sure what has been going on up there, but during Covid the local Govt, was doing the darndest to shut them down, it was gospel that it is/was being pushed by the developers who own the land around them

@@DomsE36GarageI tried talking to PFI at Rocky Mountain race week 1.0 in Kearney and they ignored me, that was day one before they blew anything up. Everyone else there was great including Matt Frost who runs the event.

How'd you go getting up onto two step - a bit sluggish compared to usual? Have seen a lot of cars struggle at Bandimere due to altitude. For memory Cleetus threw some NOS at the turbos to make them spool faster.

damn they certainly didn't pay for any prizes with gate money of non drivers in attendance, it looked to be less than 50 spectators in the grandstand.

A bit more than 50 showed up, but not much more. It was on a Tuesday and got cold pretty quickly once the sun got behind the hill. I even left a little early cause I was freezing my ass off.
