Chetan Sharma very ordinary bowler , very ordinary team india was, only the lion hearted kapil dev carrying all the weights in his shoulder day by day.nobody in the world carried such load lonely like him, he is the boss,the ultimate.

He was in the team too because of the same lion hearted Kapil Dev, who used to praise him to the moon calling him "our pocket sized dynamo" in interviews. & once Kapil Dev lost his captaincy after the reliance WC the same year, this man was no longer a certainty in the team, like he was before. He did well in the 1985 tour of SL & 1986 tour of England though.

I used to get confused between Wasim Akram and Salim Jaffer when they were fielding on the boundary. Both looked identical.

In the 80s , Pakistan thought it was matter of pride beating India. But we were so poor in our bowling that every team could beat us at home as well. We did not win any series till the Sachins , Kumbles and Srinaths came around.

The indian team was almost same that won world cup in 1983, 1984 asia cup & champions throphy in 1985 but austra asia cup in sharjah last ball 6 changed their mindset
