Cricut Explore 3 & Cricut Maker 3 LONG CUTS are here and I seriously could not be more excited!
With the NEW Cricut Explore 3 & Cricut Maker 3 we can make long cuts up to 3.6m or 12 ft for smart vinly and 1.2m or 4ft for smart iron on.
Not only can we make these huge cuts but we can do it without mats! Cricut have taken what we love about Cricut and brought it to us with the Cricut Explore 3 and Cricut Maker 3.

This video was so hard to find. No one else explains how to cut larger than the 12x12 without doing a bunch of crazy stuff. Definitely a subscriber now

Thanks for the video Paul! Although have to admit seeing the vinyl on top and bottom of the writing that was weeded out killed me 😂😂 I have a compulsion to save every scrap!

Oh really? I would have normally been more scrap sensitive. I love using scraps! But I was rushed and wanted to demonstrate the size of cut! Definitely save your scraps!!!! 😆

This is the video I was hoping to find. Thank you! I was wondering if it was 12 ft of the same repeating design or different cuts in 12 ft. I think this is a key thing that alot of people wanted to know. New subscriber ! 🙂🥳

Hey Gabz. Thanks for watching. Yeah you can cut as many 12ft images as you want as long as you have a large enough roll of vinyl 🤗

Sorry I only just saw this. It can do 11x12 with the new cutting size on smart materials.

What size paper are you using? When using 12in by 5ft paper, only one side is able to slip under the guard, and then it gets all crumpled on that side and gets stuck.

The Maker won’t cut smart materials though so the roller won’t be any use. Great idea though!

Gosh, that first weed looks very sticky!! I always get so stuck to my vinyl when I do that initial weed and I do small projects, I can’t imagine what it would be like with 3.6 metres of stickiness!!

Came off great. But yes the vinyl is sticky. I chose a stencil font so it’d be easier to weed. I hate weeding. 😝

@@scissorspaperpaul I’m sure it came off well, I’m just a disaster area when it comes to sticky things - I always get it stuck everywhere! I’m the type of person you’ll run into at the shops with bits of vinyl stuck to me in random places because I am just hopeless! I enjoy weeding after that initial weed, but that first weed, never fun, LOL!!

Paul this functionality to cut long vinyls can only be done in Cricut maker 3?

Correct. Either the Explore 3 or the Maker 3.

Cricut have increased their security requirements which are pretty standard these days. You shouldn’t have to log in each time, just on occasion.

So you weeded it, no how hard was it to put the contact over to and then peeling it off and then pasting it on a wall???

Hey Kelvin. Thanks for watching and for your question. I actually have a specific project in mind to do exactly that. I already have my process formulated in my head. It’s what I do now but on a much smaller scale of course. Keep an eye out for that video.
