@3:05 is the dumbest thing ever. Why would you carry a pointless noise maker as a defense against a determined mugger/rapist/murderer?!! This is TX and constitutional carry is now a law here. There are actually effective defensive tools one can carry here if one is not a felon.

You do have to be 21 to purchase said defensive tools, but I agree that's the best deterrent.

right - I checked FBI stats and Austin still one of thee safest mid and large sized cities in the US and around one third of all crime committed in Austin are by felons from San Antonio. Likewise that football player who moved to Austin from Houston appears to have been shot by thugs from Houston. Austin has never really had a bad violent crime problem. My friend Charles grew up in east austin and he never had any crime problems growing up over there. Gangs and criminals are more interested in places like Houston and Dallas. Austin is not on their radar screen and the last place they want to be is in a weird place as they don't like feeling uncomfortable.

Of course crime increases when you (over years) advertise a city as the best to move to.. not only do you get business and opportunity to make $$ but you bring in additional crime too

Some dude tried hitting on my wife on 6th street. Told him to knock it off an a couple of people noticed as he grabs her butt, unknown to me and in that instant he was knocked out by the other people. It happened so fast my wife didn't even notice what he did to her. They held him down an the cops took him away.

Law-abiding citizens need to carry concealed guns everywhere. Don't pull an alarm system on your keychain, pull a trigger at some criminals face. These bad people are not scared of the general public because hardly anybody is armed and not enough bad people get shot and killed by self- defending citizens.

This is crazy! Downtown and 6th street is full of drunk people, homeless addicted to drugs (super dangerous) esquizofrénica addicted too. Just behind the police headquarters is a freaking druggy place. The libraries are full of homeless and smells terribly bad. Last time I went on December with my family my son accidentally though there was chocolate on a bench in front of a luxury hotel, he though it was chocolate but it was a homeless poop. I’m glad I had water and tons of desinfectante and saw him just before he was about to taste it! Like really downtown Austin it’s just trash.

Do you realize it’s because people have been defunding and dumping on them for the past 3 years? Go on a ride along if you think their job is easy. Pay them more and support them, and watch crime go down.

@@michaellopez2070 I literally see them parked in empty dark parking lots lined up with each other for hours. They’ll get called away for 5-10 minutes and come racing back to sit for more hours. Ive also seen them again waiting outside the back of donut shops at 3am when the bakers arrive to start baking. So explain how hard they’re working again??

The police have never been defunded, smooth brain. Literally never. They have fuckin tanks and ars and grenades and are protected by union with zero ramifications for what the bad ones do. They have ultimate power over anyone, and get unpaid vacation for murdering people, except the few. You're insane. Watch a little less fox news or nbc. It's rotting your brain cells.

@@sammmyyyyyy the police haven't gone anywhere. You can't arrest them until they do the crime. Police would have to be there to prevent crime and they can't be everywhere
