Costner is very impressive. His flicks don't draw but they're good and he's good in them, and he's still got a light comic touch that humanizes his characters because he accepts the absurdity of life.

I loved the movie. It reminded me of RoboCop in the concept of preserved memories a human being might keep in the process of dying, but in this case those memories were preserved intentionally and put into the head of another human being by a doctor being used by the government, instead of accidentally being held onto by a man being preserved as a robot-human hybrid. The way they built the memories using the stem cells in the unique brain of the criminal was fairly scientifically plausible. Good movie.

There's 2 cliche's that I'm expecting for this movie. 1-This guy/criminal who they injected with the husband's memories will sleep with the wife (with cutscenes interchanging the actors for the two) and 2-This criminal(kevin costner) eventually dies at the end after fulfilling some goal like stopping a nuke or an inside-job in the pentagon because everyone likes the melodramatic fucked up ending.

Man those 2 cliche's almost happened, there were scenarios for both. It is like they were going for them and in the very last second producers gave up.

ogorjefan Yea it almost happened but it didn't. Which is a huge relief. They did however "open-ended" it leaving it to the viewer's imagination if the two characters actually ended up together after the movie.
