If you add elixirs to the fusion of both Darkness materia, your HP percentage increases greatly. As of writing this comment, l'm fusioning: Darkness (HP +20%) + Darkness (HP +20%) + 9 elixirs = Darkness (HP +120%). Hope this helps

Found an easier way!!! 6-6-3 kill the worms for Dark matter with moogle amulet equipped. When you have 99 of them, fuse in all of them MINUS ONE into it, then fuse one single stat item for the stat you want it to stay as. For example. Fuse a goblin punch to +99 magic. Then fuse it to make a Costly punch with 1 hp fusion item. It will be a Costly punch with +999% HP 😊

For the newbies out there like me who are having a hard time with the Demon Farm method. Still use what he recommends. I equipped Brutal, Brigands Gloves and Mog Amulet. However also equip a Safety Bit as your 4 accessory. The demons kept killing me with Death so safety bit will completely negate that. Also use electrocute materia along with blast wave. The hornets will interrupt your attacks pretty much constantly so start the fight with electrocute even at low magic 50 it still one shots the hornets then you can easily proceed to blast wave down the demons. Hope this helps

For anyone wondering how to put this from Darkness to Curaga: Darkness HP999% (unmastered) + Death = Death Death HP999% + Cura = Curaga HP999% (Cura can be bought from happy turtle shop)

I'm currently using the Darkness method and I must say that the method is easy to do. However, you must need a lot of SP. So I will check out your guide to farm SP. The most tedious part is the constant fusion of Darkness materia. It takes a while to fuse everything. My advice is to have a lot of SP. I also recommend to not flee because you can get SP that way by earning SP and fira materia that you can convert to SP. You also can get a lot of HI Potions too. Also, it's fun and quick to kill enemies with a high magic stat and with electrocute. So it's ok for me at least to not flee the battle. Thanks again for the guide, Primalliquid!!! :)

Just fyi you can get the hp to curaga by combining darkness with poisen to make death then merge death onto curaga for it to stay curaga but with the %

Not sure how this happened, but I was able to get Darkness up to +950% before I ran out of SP. Farmed for a little bit, then came right back to try it again, and for some reason now when I do the exact same thing instead of getting +960% when fusing with a +20% HP, it's turning into Quake +960%. Should I be worried? EDIT: Well, bugger, I think I screwed up because I actually equipped that materia, so it's now Mastered. Oh well, 950% is still pretty decent.

Bit confused here. He says at beginning of video can hit 99.999hp and can be done by chapter 2. How is it possible to get hp limit break by chapter 2? Otherwise it would be 9999 max, and then only 99.999 after you get adaman bangle, which is chapter 4 earliest and behind some really hard missions. What have I missed?

There is one important thing that you forgot to tell us and that is we need an hp limit break. Getting 999% hp on a materia isn't enough. There are quite a few limit break items in the game. Adaman Bangle is the easiest hp limit break to get in the game when compared to the other two items. You get Adaman bangle in mission 7-3-5 and that is 7 stars. Bro, most players, especially newcomers, can't do that mission. That mission will be too strong for them. Lol. Primal liquid, did you really get the Adaman Bangle when you were in chapter 3? You sound like you are saying that you did. But how? That's a high level mission. Is it because you are playing on normal mode? Idk. I'm playing on hard mode and missions are tough. I can get one shot easily in high ranking missions and it's annoying.

The only thing with darkness is that you always have to have it equipped to get the stat bonus. I’d rather just use it on hp up or something lol

There is something that I'm not fully understanding. Are you saying that chapter 3 players can complete 10 star missions? I don't think I was able to do 7 star missions at chapter 3. Most chapter 3 players won't be strong enough to handle 10 star missions. This is a rpg after all so someone can be over powered at a early chapter. But...having a high level doesn't really make you super strong for high ranking missions due to my experience playing the game. I will admit that I had an easier time doing high ranking missions by using Darkness materia than my sword. I could be wrong but I believe enemies damaged faster with Darkness materia than my sword. I'm not sure but that makes sense since Darkness has a high attack power. Also, it's easy to avoid enemies in this game. Primalliquid, if you are able to do and complete 10 star missions at chapter 3, then I'm impressed. I'm at chapter 6 but I don't think I'm able to do 10 star missions. I need this hp buff because I keep getting one shot killed in missions like rank 6 missions. And it's annoying. Im at level 54. I don't get how being at level 54 makes me so defenseless. I got a Darkness HP +140% and a bunch of base Darkness materia, but it stopped turning them into Darkness HP +10 higher than previous and just turns it into Quake. Did I screw up somewhere? EDIT: Nevermind, I think it's because my Darkness HP +140% is mastered.

i'm desperately trying to get mug to +999% i already have aerial drain with 999% health, but for 99.999 health you need two materia with this, right? but no matter what i try, i cant get mug ( or steal ) to 999% hp with the first method. unfortunately, i am still too weak for the second method. not even close to beating lvl 10 missions.

I don't get it. I can't get my hp above 9999. You can't obtain the genji armour until you max out the dmw? And the other armour that let's you exceed 9999 is a mission that doesn't unlock until later in the game. So you can only get genji armour if you're willing to spend 2 to 3 hours running circles around tonberries in hopes your summon will luckily pluck a super rare armour out of his pot? I'm just trying to break the damage cap. I have a costly punch +540%. I need the 99,999 damage because I am getting owned in some of the later missions.. I don't have any more phoenix downs, fat chocobo feathers, or elixirs to increase that HP. I know after I get to +990% I need to combine with a Hero Drink for the damage, but do you know any other possible way to get phoenix downs, elixirs, or fat chocobo feathers?? All of the guides suggest missions that I feel like I need the 99,999 damage for lol because all of those missions I get owned in.

I have an important question. How the F**K are you getting darkness to drop from killing the demons? Are you using a different kind of "MUG". You are using Electrocute and the Darkness materia is dropping. i dont get it.
