I love the improvements to combat but maaaaan that original art direction for the game is so good. I like that its not “realistic “ in game zack looks so unique. A very expressive and unique face, the colors pop out more as well too giving it a more video game feel. Love the remake too though

Same, the sharpness and movement of the bangs or the brightness of the eyes was really nice and familiar to me due to kingdom hearts and dissidia.

Leagues better. Like night and day. One of the main reasons I stuck to playing the OG rather than getting the remake. It's that tough to ignore for me. But if the game has a japanese voice option, I'll get it. Just hope the VA steps it up for FFVIIR part 2.

Especially those facial expressions, they were way better in the original, you could see the emotions in their faces and just knew what they were feeling as for the remaster they just look wonky a bit

The first time i tried reunion, i kinda feels off with the voice on the first cutscene (the one where he jump off to the top of the train), but i think it's just me forgetting what he sounds like. But on the second cutscene, it confirms it that the voice is definitely different💀

Personally prefer the original Crisis Core's look to the remake. Like, don't get me wrong, they're obviously very nice and detailed, but it seems to lose quite a bit of the charm from the character design and aesthetics. I wish they'd make a new (even spin-off) game with the early 3D games' aesthetic, just cleaned up like the remasters. Admittedly it's pretty anime ish, but that can be toned down slightly while having that older FF feel.

I'm still unsure to get CC for PS4/5... especially after hearing that voice... The PSP version will be forever my favourite. But seeing how they kept every scene the same makes the purchase worth it in the end because there're improvements. (I rlly hope they'll do the same with Dirge of Cerberus someday..I MISS THAT GAME! )

Brooo I pray to the eidolons every day for a remaster of Dirge of Cerberus, it’s really underrated and really good then what most people say about it. For what it is, it’s one of my favorites in the series
