RECIPE CRISPY PANCAKE. BANH XEO
*Marinate:
Shrimp with 1 Tsp Chicken Bouillon
Pork Belly with 1 Tsp Chicken Bouillon
*Wet Batter:
400Gr Rice Flour
2 Cans Coco Rico
1/2 Tbsp Ground Turmeric
1/2 Tbsp Sugar
1 Tbsp Salt
1/2 Cup Green Onion
*Fish Sauce:
2 Cans Coco Rico
3 Tbsp Fish Sauce
1 Tbsp Sugar
1-2 Thai Chili
*Cooking:
1 Tbsp
Marinated Shrimp
Marinated Pork Belly
Wet Batter
Bean Sprouts

This is good, Thai people do a similar dish with mussels , a crispy pancake laced with mussels and served with a sweet sauce and bean sprouts too..the bomb !

Than banh xeo look mouthwatering 🤤🤤🤤🤤 it's almost like a very thin omelette with scallions and shrimp. I love the idea of wrapping it in rice paper and lettuce, brings a nice crunch to it I'm definitely going to try this

It's actually more like a crepe. Sizzling crepe is what many people call it in English. Growing up, I always had problems eating it wrapped with the lettuce and herbs, then I went to someone's house and saw them wrap it in rice and paper and was like, "Why did I never think of that?" So now that's how I eat my Vietnamese fried spring rolls as well (we don't eat the fried spring rolls on their own, but wrapped).

In Vietnam, Hue is the place with the best cuisine in Vietnam. A place where Anthony Bourdain has fallen in love with Vietnam for most of its food. Quang's hometown is in Hue, you know what i mean

It's always eaten with some green vegetable like lettuce or mustard greens (?) and lots of herbs. That's very typical Vietnamese to eat like that. It's how we eat our fried spring rolls, too, as we just don't eat the fried spring rolls by themselves like in West.
