I'm glad people have started to do the research for themselves and it's now become somewhat of a talking point. I just 🤦♂️ whenever I read "where's Ronaldo's WC" comments...😂 Portugal had literally no history before Ronaldo... in fact, the first final they ever reached (Euro 04), it was a then fresh on the scene Ronaldo who led the team in g/a. International football is really just all about the luck of the draw. A player is stuck with what they're stuck with. Ibrahimovic with Sweden, Haaland with Norway... Portugal with Ronaldo. Yeah, Portugal is no Sweden or Norway, but they've never exactly been a France, Brazil, Spain or Argentina either...

6:29 for me this is the best ronaldo header of all time. Everything in this clip is just spectacular : the jump, the timing, the power, the placement, and the landing are unbelievable. Straight facts. Ronaldo has made people believe Portugal are among the top nation. People think they should be winning the EUROs and World Cup when in reality, they had only qualified to the World Cup three time before Ronaldo and hadn't won an international trophy until 2016. It's only recently that they've flourished a golden generation but time will tell if they can be cohesive and win something together!
