The fact that one of the winning outcomes is just getting a patient to hospice is… a bit too real 😅 Edit: oof, reading the patient bios was also rough. I’m assuming this is a game “based” in the US, because repeatedly ending up in the ER for asthma is unreasonable! Poor Marley!

yep, as an asthmatic in the States who literally almost died from it, I can attest to this one.

Great play through! And really, could you have had a more perfect combo of content creators/game players??? Highly doubt it! Just hearing the medical terminology tripping off your tongues with ease made for a very engaging watch. I just may have to break my "no new games for 2024" self-imposed ban! 🤩

Love it- such an amazing game. Poor Allison with cardiac myopathy- but you stabilized her. Good part with this game is that you can contribute to treat each others patient.

At the start of Wednesday, Allie no longer had the conditions for her TIA - does it still trigger or should that card have been "cured" because she didn't have the blood or brain issues?

Once you get a complication, it stays in play until something actively removes it, even if the underlying injury that allowed it to happen is resolved. In real life, this is kind of like if you give someone medications that make them confused and they choke and get lung injury (aspiration). Even when the medications wear off and they're totally lucid, they still have the lung injury. Thank you!

I will say, for so much accuracy, the times on these are quite off. 9 hours for a lumbar puncture is very funny (our unit did it in 45 minutes to an hour) . I did enjoy it, even if it might be too real to bring to the table (Marley is going to be drowning in medical debt for the rest of her life with no/poor insurance during an ICU stay)

45 min to an hour? I remember doing them as an intern almost 20 years ago and taking less than 15 minutes… Are there some crazy long safety protocols in place now or something?
@LifeUntilLove2 ай бұрын
@@Vypper7 That is just how much time we budgeted to allow for the patients who need Ativan, the post-procedure brief, and the amount of overlapping appointments that were scheduled. It would actually get done in very little time.
@Vypper72 ай бұрын
@@LifeUntilLove ah, mine were done on overnight shifts on call as a medical intern, supervised by the ED attending, just grab the kit and go ! Different than when scheduled as outpatient, makes sense. Now they are done by the neurologists where I work.
