Considering she kept firing at officers after being shot, I doubt she had any intention of surrendering. Why would she put her hands up? You don't fire a gun while surrounded by a couple dozen cops unless you want to die.

Standard procedure. Safe practice in case someone is either A: Faking and not completely incapacitated or deceased, or B: They start to seizure and the restraints can help prevent them from hurting themselves or others. Basically it's just safer for everyone involved.

I thought the same but you never know the true situation unless you are there, from the other perspective it looked like the suspect was facing away from bro behind the tree for most of the time, it seemed like he was blinding her up thw the point the other officers approached so maybe he felt like he didn’t need to turn if off because he saw they were all there, plus from the suspects perspective I would be more confused if I looked in both directions and just saw flashing light in my face

There were too many shots fired by this perpetrator. Perpetrators need to be trained on how to not break the law and attempt to murder a group of people. I do understand that times are tough, but there is legitimately no reason to start recklessly shooting at a crowd of people with a rifle. There were so many bullets shot by the perpetrator that one of the numerous cops, or any bystander, could have been murdered.

"Police need to be trained on taking one or two shots" that insane! Their lives are more valuable than any criminal. If you fully watched the video you'd realize it's more of a murder suicide. She was on the ground ALREADY injured and then grabbed the gun and fired more shots, one nearly hitting an officer in the head. I don't think the cops being passive would've saved anyone in the situation. I didn't hear a time for when the incident occurred but it was clearly dark. Tom brown park closes at 9:00pm so assuming it was later, theirs no reason to suspect innocent people behind the girl. The officers in the video also appear to mainly be firing towards the trails/woods behind the park, which is even less likely to have people there at night.

you act like the cops did something wrong she had a rifle with two magazines chambered in 7.62 and they have pistols with probably 2 extra mags chambered in 9mm that’s a big difference if you don’t know

It’s not even like she died on the sene they did what they were trained to do which is to incapacitate and then they immediately start giving her medical treatment as soon as they can safely get close enough to do so

It wasnt for "no reason" dude had felony amounts of drugs during a traffic stop for speeding, decided to run from the police and abandon his car at a business. Good Job officers.
