I dont why, but its weird to think that Liam is the oldest at that table (a year older than Taliesin), and Matt is the youngest (a year younger than Travis). Liam is so young at heart and Travis is a big kid, while Taliesin and Matt sometimes seems to have wisdom of the ages.

What I find even stranger is that Travis is only a year older than Matt. I mean, Matt and Tal are ageless souls who obviously choose what ages they appear, but it's still strange. Travis has such a weird mix of older brother and dad vibes verses Matt's younger cousin or best friend's little brother vibes.

Except in the first round Taliesin shouldn't have won, Matt healed the wrong direction, instead of adding health he removed one.

@JustHarmony actually no. I can see why you think that. But remember since he damaged himself instead of healed that is a 2 health difference. Since its two steps difference from a -1 to a +1 (the 0 in between counts). Though I don't know what other card he had on hand at the time so it might have been enough if he played another card first.

That voice at least recently made a lovely comeback on a game featuring Matt and DM'd by Perkins at gamehole con. Search those key words and names and I'm sure you can find it. Best moment was when Rothus received a donation to try and copy that voice after struggling to do a Russian accent.

When Liam said he played it with his kids, and I laughed pretty hard. Also ducking KNEW he had that vampiric touch in the first round. That was great. I brought this to work and in one of my first matches and also played the wizard. I got all of the double energy cards in the course of one move so I destroyed two of the kiddos in one turn. I love this game so much and hope they release more decks based around the rest of the classes...also I wanna get a second set and try an eight player game just for the chaos.

it was almost like the first game ended with a fight against Vax and Grog being played by Matt and Talisen instead of Liam and Travis.

Watching them play stuff together and have fun makes me kinda envious. I do love seeing this, but I wish I had a friend group like that. I don't really have many friends, and I don't think any are nerdy enough to play weird nerdy games with me. I could probably get my best friend to try just about anything with me (I have debated getting her to play D&D with me, but just the two of us would make it hard, and she's probably not the biggest role-playing person out there) but two people is often not quite enough. Also, as much as I enjoy all of their voices all the time, Matts barbarian was a DELIGHT. The fact that the character kinda ran away with him was great. The amount of times he blurted something out without thought. Great times.

Although I don't have any experience with them myself, I am told there exist TTRPGs that are specifically designed to be played by two people. Hell, there are even some that are designed to be played solo! Totally agree on the friend-group-envy.

In which case, I would like to make sure you don't miss out on: "That One Comic Book Show - Episode 20 Card Party /w Mercer and Friends". Which contains considerable Matt cuteness, and no spoilers for anything. ;) (Unless you happen to be actually interested in the card thingies they're looking at, most of that episode is also very suitable for just listening to.)

@@TimpanistMoth_AyKayEll You are absolutely right, I miiight have fallen into a Matt-Mercer-shaped rabbit hole with any cool content I can find with him for sooome reason (because that is just how my mind works. It decided to latch onto him for the moment so he easily sidetracked me into other interesting content. Right now seeing Matt on some video icon will absolutely get me to compulsively click on that. Or if his name is in the title or something). I will absolutely look that up, thanks for the tip!

I love that every week we get a stream that's pretty much just the CR cast & crew (and sometimes family) just hanging out and having fun. Really showcases how close they are as friends.
