Doesnt matter only thing that makes the fake a fake is spacing in the words lol I understand if u want to buy a real and buy a fake but if u want to buy fakes it's not a problem your saving your money and being smart I rather spend 100$ on somthing and the only thing that's fake about it is the spacing in the lettering than spending thousands on thousands just so the spacing is correct lol be smart about it and fr think about it as long as u dont scam others with a rep shouldn't shame the reps reps actually make since get the same thing for what it's really worth or spend thousands on a peice of metal that only took a couple hundred to make

Do jewelers who consider themselves watch professionals not study current “fakes” as you called it? That's a tell that's been we'll known in the rep industry for many years. They basically mistakenly put the wrong year model with the wrong year “factory flaw”, if you will. The reps today will have you stumped under a microscope of they’ve been properly serviced, lubed, and cleaned. Some also spring for a proper shaping of the bracelet, lug edges, and crown guards to get them within 1/100th of Rolex in house tolerance. I’m more surprised a friend wouldn’t buy without asking you if he should first. But moreover why wouldn’t he buy from you?!?!

You are correct. There's different "editions" of the dials, hence sometimes you'll see something like MkI or MkII or MkIII listed by some grey market dealers. Or the same can apply for the bezel, especially on the Pepsi GMT. Clear and obvious color differences side by side. Anyways, I bought a hulk dial some years ago only to "find out it was fake"... only to then find out that the authenticator was wrong.

Guess it doesn’t help that Rolexes don’t have super intricate movements like other high end brands so the ability to try and copy them would be higher than one that does. I’ve even seen “Rolex” movements on eBay for a couple hundred bucks. Just goes to show how good these clones are getting. Sometimes a deal to good to be true is.

yup,, had a chance to compare a sub no date side by side , cant tell the difference . Even the weight is there. only thing i could tell was off was the watch winding

It's a common misconception. Depends on the years it was made. You can see the same thing on black submariners too. Idk why the guys in the video are spreading misinformation. It's almost like they're sewing doubt and distrust into the viewers on purpose. Or just some jack off trying to make a KZfaq video seem legit. Or maybe he's a nice guy who genuinely doesn't know and he's trying to purport himself as a professional 🤔 but that's not as a dramatic so I'm gonna go with deliberate dissemination of misinformation lol

Umm.. the "m" together with 300 is a Mark 3. There's 3 versions of the Hulk with the same number. Both the Mark 1 & 2 have the space between the 300 and the "m".

If that is the ONLY discrepancy you can detect, then maybe it is real? I mean don’t you think the fabricators of these knock offs would know EVERYTHING by now and not make a simple mistake such as a space after the 300. That just seems like such a silly thing to miss. If that’s the only discrepancy you can detect - without opening it and seeing all the movement and all the insides… I’d say that’s basically just as good as a real Rolex. Only problem is - it was sold for an authentic price. Not cool.

Wait, so you think rolex would make a 30k watch with flaws but the people making the fakes for $400 wouldn't? What? Also, you say "ONLY discrepancy" but again, this is a 30k watch. It should be perfect down to last atom (and always is when coming from rolex). The main part of a rolex is the movement. A rolex movement will last longer than you, whereas a clone movement probably wont last a year. Its like saying a kit car ferrari is just as good as a real ferrari just because they look the same. 80% of the value of rolex comes from the movement. You can buy genuine rolex bracelets, cases and dials relatively cheap, you cant do the same for the movements. You could put a real dial and bracelet on this fake watch in the video and it will still be fake and very obviously so as soon as you take the case back off.

Basically the knock off makers shouldn’t make such a silly mistake like that. If the knock off is so good that it has 1 discrepancy, then I’d say that’s near perfect. At that point you may consider if Rolex has ever done that before? Spacing between 300 and ‘m’ I’ve actually read that somewhere before. But anywho someone already mentioned that he also brings up the bracelet not being correct either, but talking about the Case, dial and other things aside from the movement , bracelet , clasp etc it’s aesthetically 99% correct. Sorry if this is still confusing lol.

How to find a watch is fake

Take it to a watch maker, or send it in to rolex for a service as they wont service a fake. Generally the most reliable way on rolex is the balance wheel, but its possible to put a real rolex balance wheel in a fake movement. An experienced person taking it apart is the only way to know for sure.

Real rolex balance wheels have regulator screws on, while fakes don't. As I said, while you can technically fit a real rolex balance wheel on to a fake movement, its so impractical that i don't think many fake movements with real balance wheels actually exist.
